I don't have an account, I don't have Paypal or a credit card, I can't access my dad's account.

And I wasn't home at the time, anyway.

Well, I guess that explains it. :)

Augh, my peeve right now? Smoke alarms. It's great that they save lives, but when they're low on battery, do they have to beep so constantly? And they run out of battery at the most innoportune tim3s, always when my parents aren't home. I should figure out how to change the batteries, or at leasts top the beeping. After a while it gets pretty annoying.

Anyoen know how I can acomplish this without breaking something, or setting something on fire? Though that'd be pretty ironic, setting a smoke alarm on fire.

Open the cover (just pull on it), take out the old battery, put in the new battery. CHALLENGE COMPLETE!

my peeve is those bathroom doors that won't close. A lot of them are very poorly put together/put in, as the lock is just a bit off. One time, at school actually, the lock was a bit too high, and the door (not the whole stall) was a bit loose, so I picked it up enough to put the stick in the lock. When I tried to open it, it wouldn't come out, so I was locked inside the stall. Fortunately, it only took 2 or 3 minutes to get it unjammed, but I think I got lucky. Not gonna try that again.

i really hate it when that happens. why did they put the lock and the latch at two different positions? attempting to close the doors at school results in all the boys being called in for a lecture from the principal about vandalism.

Be happy. At my school, we have one locking door. ONE! If you're lucky, you can get it, but usually there is some form of human excrement on the floor.

I tired that, and couldn't find where he batteryw as located. And I'm glad I couldn't, for a few reasons. Firstly, when my dad came home and went to put the new one in, it started beeping it's normal alarm (as if there was a fire) which would've scared the crap out of me (And I was standing on an unstable hamper (I later decided it'd be a bit smarter to get a chair)) and secondly, it turned out it wasn't our smoke detector, it was our carbon monoxide detector. It needed to be reset for some reason.

I found I'd gotten used to it, anyways.

I hate people who diss the French. Seriously, they're not that bad. They don't hate Americans. I was in Paris a year ago, & only ONE person was rude, snotty, or mean to us. France has given so much to the world; it's not fair to talk like them like they're nothing.

Exactly. France have NOTHING against Americans.
On the subject of dissing countries:
WHY do some americans think of the English as snobby, pish posh, top hat and monicle men?
I mean. I don't know how some got that impression. But its annoying.....
I doubt anyone on the forum will think that, I'm talking about other poeple.

It's not polite to treat any country like that.

As I always say, "You'll find bitter people and grand people no matter where you go."

Ya see ik, every country has it's stereotype against it unfortunately. America's full of rednecks, Canada's a frozen tundra, France is all snobby and anti-American. It's sad really.

Also i am suprised at the number of people that actually think that all of Texas is a stupid waste land, yes there is some but not all, i never actually thought that people thought this untill we went up to like New York and last year we had a teacher that had just moved from Pennsylvania and she said that she was suprised at how "normal" Texas was.

on a similar note, I hate how Texas tuck commersials always say something like "its Texas tough" or "a cab the size of Texas" and other stupid crap.

i hate the way everyone thinks that in Australia, kangaroos hop around the streets, the prime minister is some fat guy who lives on the countryside, and everyone else dresses like Crocodile Dundee. i'd imagine their face if they actually went to Sydney. (i know i don't live there, it's just an example)

Well, for me it's because every time I use the word "color," some Briton comes along and says "OMG ITS SPELLED COLOUR STFU!"

Then you reply, "Who whooped your butt in the Revolutionary War?"

Aww.

I don't consider North/South Carolina to be in the "South". More mid-east. The southern states I see are like Mississippi and Alabama.

So what's the northeast stereotype? Liberal atheists?

And those people aren't stupid, either. Well, no more of them than anywhere else. Stennis Space Flight Center, Marshall Space Flight Center, need I say more?

We're smart, we just have accents.

Just to clear up a southern steryotype: WE ARE NOT ALL REDNECKS. I have a few in my school and whatnot, but there are people who are actually concerned with the events of the middle east, and prefer not to flunk out of highschool. NOW GIVE ME MORE RIBS! GRAHHHH! :p

Well, just rememebr every group (Or at elast almost every group) has a bad stereotype.

But I've got a new peeve: Dentists who don't know what they're doing. I was at the dentist recently with my sister; she needed a cavity filled and I needed some seal-ins. The dentist seemed to do fine with my seal-ins, but when she was fillng my sister's cavoty, the dentist thought she hadn't filled it correctly, and told my sister, "Later tonight, if you feel any shooting pains, call me." Luckily she didn't feel any "shooting pains" but she did mention it felt like something was loose in her mouth. Then last night, one of my seal-ins came out, and now part of it is stuck on my front teeth and keeps cutting my tongue. One mistake is ok, I suppose, but two in the same visit just doesn't work, so as you can believe, I'm reluctant to go back to that dentist. Hopefully it's not too hard to switch dentists, but there's probably all this insurance stuff. I just don't want to have "shooting pains" or have more pieces of seal-ins stuck on my teeth.

My peeve is the rainstorms we keep getting. This is the fourth rainstorm (and second time we lost power) this week. Rad, any reason why?

That water's gotta go somewhere, and you northerners are hogging it all why we're dry as a bone down here in the South.
:-)

There a cold front moving through NY. Given the relatively high sheer in the area, I wouldn't be suprised to see some pretty strong storms today. (note, this forecast was made with a 4 minute look at water vapor, upper air charts and a surface analysis. In other words, it may be complete bupkis.)
