They are illegal in NY unless you have liscense, but that doesn't stop anyone.

I nearly had one get stuck in my hair a few years ago. One of my friends decided it would be funny to shoot one off in my direction. It missed me by inches.

My neighbors were doing some very loud ones until around midnight. Our houses are literally connected (two of the doors in our house are locked from both sides and lead to the neighbors' house) and they were setting them off in the little space between the houses.

Not to mention the terrible karaoke every night.

I hate this stupid state.

Peeve: The city said they were gonna start fireworks at 9:15 on a flyer they sent out. Instead, they started around 8:50, so by the time that we got there are 9:10, there were only a minute or two of fireworks left. The show was over before the time it was supposed to start. Really, if you're gonna go through the effort to tell everyone when somethings going to happen, you can't change your mind and move it up.
That happened a couple years back when I worked here. We moved up the Kentucky Opry show and shortened it so that we could be finished before the city had their fireworks show, the idea being that people would leave the show and be in the parking lot (a pretty prime viewing spot for the fireworks). The city said they'd hold for us, and we were going to let them know when we were over. At the beginning of the show, we announced to the crowd that the fireworks would start 10 minutes after the show. At the beginning of the next to last session of the show, I could hear some thunder type noises (it was really faint over the sounds on stage, and nearly covered up by the headset I was wearing). The stage director heard them better than I did. He sent one of the cast outside, and they came running back in, telling us that the fireworks had started. We ended up stopping the show, then telling the crowd they could come back after it was over. It turned into a mess.

All this talk of fireworks....... I'm suddenly missing Belfast now.

Uhh....

All I mean is that there'd be a lot of fireworks going on there, coming up to the 12th of July parades.

Yeah there were fireworks in Belfast, whether you wanted them or not.

Today at 2 pm I decided to help my brother change the oil in his truck. We just got done an hour ago. We could not for the longest time get the oil filter off. My brother is definately no wimp, ad even he couldn't get it to budge. It wasn't until I called a friend of mine who's no idiot when it comes to cars that we finally got it to go. Even for him it was tough. I think I got my exercise for the week though.

Boy do I hate changing my oil. The oil filter, much like ramrod's brother's, is ridiculously hard to get off, and is also in a stupidly hard place to get to. I much prefer to pay $20 and get someone to do it for me.

I hate how if I have a typo in my post, and I only realize it AFTER someone else posts. I go back to edit it, and then it has that "Last edited" thing at the bottom.
It might as well say; "I'M A BIG CLUMSY RETARD!!!"

Sometimes I think of doing that, but for a truck like his (F-150 Supercrew something or other) it would have been a lot more. Plus, it gives me a warm feeling inside of me. It makes me feel even more manly than I already am.

it's takes me ten minutes to change my oil, I never have a problem with my filter.

Usually with mine it takes ten minutes as well. But with this truck there was probably over 100 pounds of Torque. And it was the first time that the oil was changed as well.

Hey! Dresses are manly! Only a real man could do that!

By the way, I'm kinda getting sick and tired of hearing about me and the dress. It was funny the first thousand times, but it seems that everyday someone mentions it to me.

True that. I can see why it happens, though, it's become a snwoball effect. New users weren't around to see you actually do it (I'm pretty sure I wasn't, either, and I've been ehre a year) and they hear others mention it, so really the first thing they know about you is "The Dress". That's their first impression, and what they rememebr of you, and then, as they also mention it, more new users learn about Ramrod in a dress before they know about Ramrod, and in the end, it's just annoying.

You know, I'm not really sure why i went through the trouble of saying that....

Yeah, people this year decided to do them the whole 5-day weekend. Friday to Tuesday. 5-day weekend... that leaves 2 days for a week...

Yeah, you are right. I'd just rather be known for something other than the dress. Maybe the bee in my hair? The DG in my hair, my hair in general. How about all my qoutes? But no, all I hear is "Ramrod wore a dress! Ramrod wore a dress!"

When you do something that drastic, that is going to get remembered more than anything else you do. I told you as soon as you did it that we would never let you forget it.

So pretty much the only way for people to stop talking about it is if I top it, right? Great, how can I top that without doing something even dumber like wearing a mini-skirt?

Sing a song and do a dance... on a canoe... while eating something from Taco Bell.

Now that's the Ultimate Chalupa experience!

You mean like my old IT teacher? She tried to close one of those banner ads that say stuff like "You have a virus! Download this free virus checker for free, and we'll send you a whole lot of spam!"[/tquote]
like my sister.
she can't tell the difference between a popup and a banner, so she clicks the X button because she thinks it will close it.
then, i get blamed for the viruses because my mom thinks AIM causes viruses.
who would trust a popup that says "scan your HD for free!"
access to your hard drive over the internet=extreme danger.
reminds me of the annoying kid. "i'm building a computer that can access other computers! i'm going to unload all my viruses onto yours!" what an idiot. how will he know mine from the billions of other computers?

while i'm at it, people think because i take home economics think i'm a wuss. after that, people think that because i'm using my pencil case i made, i'm too poor to buy my own pencil case. it's because i have pride in my work, opposed to a commercial one made by a machine that can't feel pride.

Some of my X-Box teamates suck. We were all playing a 4 on 4 game, when my three team mates quit. One of the opponents also quit, but it was still a 3-1 match. I managed to get some 13 or so kills, but they still beat me 48-17. I didn't quit because I would be a hypocrite if I did.

AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH I'M HUNGRY!!!

Well, if you've got some extra cash you can always order in. Or, if you live within a few miles of civilization, just get on your bike. Or have go with your brother and sister, or ask them to pick something up for you.

That is to say Jones unless Chekt doesn't have money or a job to get money. Besides, my mom is a health food nut as well, and not all of it is bad.

Like I said, if you've got some extra cash...

But yeah, healthy doesn't necessarily mean bad. If you've got pasta or rice, some butter, and some herbs and spices in the house, you're never far from a decent meal.
