Hee hee...

My brother can't stand kissing moments, so whenever I ask him politely to exit my room, I warn him that if he doesn't listen the first time, I'll show him some of my Shojo manga.

He then quickly leaves.

But to be honest, I don't like kissing or love scenes in almost all forms of films or books. I only like it to be very, very subtle. Like with the subtle scene in Omohide Poro Poro, or with Violet and Quigly in Book the Tenth in A Series of Unfortunate Events.

I don't like a story to fully focus on love though.

I HATE THAT I CAN'T RENAME SONGS ON MIX CD'S.

And how everybody on my AIM buddy list that I actually talk to always seems to be away. It's like a conspiracy against me or something.

Pfft. Either I'm there and I'm online, or I'm away and I'm not. That's how it should be with everybody.

My peeve: not knowing when I can take a break at work. That adds another, though, because no break means no lunch, and no lunch means a cranky cap'n. Fortunately, that wasn't the case today, bacause I got to leave shortly after I ate lunch, which was nice.

I've never had and computers of mine do that. What type is it, and what OS does it run? And are you sure it's not just someone like a sibling doing that?

i have no idea. for one thing, any new page would open in a new tab. then, i tried to press keys but if i pressed one, a random BBcode tag came up. i couldn't delete them either, because backspace started to close all the tags.

This has nothing to do with you computer being on a long time. It has to do with your Ctrl or Alt key getting "stuck." Sometimes a computer gets confused and thinks you're pressing one of those keys even when you're not. So if the computer thinks you're holding down Ctrl and you press 'T', a new tab will open (because Ctrl+T is the shortcut for new tab). Likewise, if the computer thinks you're holding down Alt and you press 'Q', and you're trying to post here, it will make a [quote] tag because Alt+Q is the shortcut on the forum for [quote].

There's a couple possible remedies. First just try pressing the offending key (Ctrl or Alt) a few times, or holding it down for a second or two. Failing that, unplug your keyboard and plug it in again.

Peeve - my sister.
She is taking me to a Mexican restaurant tonight.
Yet she knows I hate spicy foods, and foods with tomatoes in it!
So I think I'll just eat a real big lunch and pick at dinner.

Appetizers, always work. Just order a plate of nachos and you are set.

Well, not all Mexican foods are spicy. There are some real Mexican foods(aka, not Taco Bell) that aren't that spicy.

Yeah, I think it may have to be nachos with sour cream, and no beans.
There's not even steak!

just be thankful it's not my sister. she won't eat just about anything. of course, mom doesn't want to buy two of everything so we have to get what she wants.
eg, i want to get the cereals with the little fruit pieces in them, but we can't get anything that doesn't contain the word 'choc'.

and last year, it was terrible. for my birthday, i wanted a lemon cheesecake, but no, my sister was at my party so mom made a chocolate cake with chocolate icing with chocolate pieces. i asked mom why, and she said "you know that she doesn't like what you like, and it wouldn't be fair if she didn't get any cake." she wasn't even supposed to be at my party! i have to stop, before i break the keyboard.

A peeve?
Oh I've got a peeve alright!
MY INSANITY!
Ugh, my insanity took over me yesterday, I was going to leave the chat room out of jibblieness, then AGAIN! MY STUPID BRAIN WENT TOO FREAKING FAR!
This goes onto my list of mistakes I've made on the forum.
AND, to go with that, I feel like a sack of crap. I'm in a very bad mood, a very bad state.
And its all caused in my brother too.
He even went on MY PC! And the reason I bought it was to stop all the bullying that Daniel gave me over it.
hate my life.

Peeve: Not being able to go home this weekend. It really sucks because the people we used to celebrate Independence Day weekend with have decided to do things "like we used to to", meaning most of the family is in town, and the entire weekend is going to be spent barbecuing, playing Rook, basketball, and swimming.
I'm stuck here because we were supposed to work Monday. It's an 8 hour drive for me, so there was no way I was going to leave here Friday morning (when I go home, I leave Huntsville at around 4:00 so I can beat the traffic in Nashville and Bowling Green) only to come back Sunday. Yesterday evening, I got an email saying that we are holding off the changes we were going to make until Wednesday, because people were going to be out of town until then. It's too late to drive home now, though. There's way to many cops on the road and the traffic is horrible.

On some forums where people use the same avatar as another user. It always makes me think they're someone different.

You mean like my old IT teacher? She tried to close one of those banner ads that say stuff like "You have a virus! Download this free virus checker for free, and we'll send you a whole lot of spam!"

And then when she clicked on it, one of those "You won a vacation! click here in [10] seconds to claim it" adverts popped up, and she said, "Hmm, maybe if I wait for the time to run out, I'll get the site I want.".

And when we weren't online learning how to use Google, she taught us how to resize text in Word. FOR A WHOLE LESSON!

I hate her.

Peeve: The city said they were gonna start fireworks at 9:15 on a flyer they sent out. Instead, they started around 8:50, so by the time that we got there are 9:10, there were only a minute or two of fireworks left. The show was over before the time it was supposed to start. Really, if you're gonna go through the effort to tell everyone when somethings going to happen, you can't change your mind and move it up.

Also, I learned my lesson about taking a 1 year old and a 3 year old to the movie theater. I got to see the first half of Cars, hopefully it ended well.

Related peeve: Towns that say the fireworks will start at "dusk." Is it that hard to pin down an actual time?

I too have a firework related peeve, it's the idiots in my neigborhood that like to set off all the fireworks in their backyards. If I find another remain of a bottle rocket in my yard, I'll go crazy.
