Anyway, eww.. they put gravy on it? KFC comes up with the weirdest food ideas.

Peeve: Not enough time in the day! And then again, there is too much!

My opinion on these changes every time I see the commercial, it seems. Sometimes, I'll watch it and think they look delicious. Other times, my stomach turns a bit. I bet they're delicious, and just a little gross. (It could be worse, somethings taste delicious and look absolutely disgusting.)

Same here. The first few times I saw it, I thought it looked really weird. But, after about the 5th time, it started looking good. Maybe I'llt ry one if my family ever stops at a KFC.

that sounds extremely nasty.

Peeve: Euphemisims and disorders.

I was just watching the CBS Evening News and they had a story on road rage and how a doctor has started to classify road rage as Intermittent Explosive Disorder. That's a 10 syllables instead of two. Now there is no humanity in the word. Intermittent Explosive Disorder sounds like something that happens when you have a bad batch of dynamite. Road Rage kind of sounds like what actually happens. This is just like shell shock, or should I say Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. This is going to cause millions of people out there to take mass amount of Prozac instead of the simple and logical solution of putting the keys down until they are able to drive with a clear head. I tell you the use of euphemisms in this country makes me want to vomit, or rather, makes me want to have an involutary protein spill.

true. that does make it sound like a mental illness.

i saw this ad yesterday. this mom was saying "i'm a chef, doctor, chaffeur, fashion consultant, dentist," so on. no you're not! you make food for your kids. you drive them to school, you put a band-aid on their wound, you tell them to brush their teeth. you are only a mother!

More on the KFC things: I think they look AWESOME, except for the fact that they're made with mashed potatoes. All potatoes = Bleh. If they did them with rice, I'd be all over 'em.

The KFC's here do serve steamed rice as a side, and those are awesome with KFC gravy.

you do know the gravy is just fat from the deep fryer. no kidding. my friend worked there. but, unlike most nuggets, the KFC ones are made from real chicken.
at least here, they are.

...now I know why I don't care much for gravy. Though I always figured KFC's gravy was made from a just-add-water packet, like Kool-aid.

You may be right, IJ - Harvey's gravy is made from a powder. But fat is the root of all gravy. Except Burger King's. Unless I'm mistaken (or they've changed it) their gravy is not meat-based. I don't know what meat tastes like that, anyhow.

Did you mention something about liking Good Eats once upon a time? Alton Brown did a great show all about gravy.

Mmmm... Great gravy...

Those KFC things would be good, but I hate turkey. :p

We needed someone from all three camps. I think I might actually order one of dose things the next time I go to KFC.

Oh, snap.

But KFC is made from Chicken the last time I checked. Unless it's now KFT.

And all gravy is made from roux, which is basically fried flour. If BK's gravy is not meat based, then it must be made with some kind of vegetable oil.

The only reason that kfc makes evil food is because they are KKK propaganda. I mean, look at the similarity!:

I would've agreed if the sentence was "The boy was excited by the baloon." But otherwise excited was definitely an adverb.

New peeve: Titles that aren't descriptive. Like when a topic's title is "Do you think that..." or "What would you rather see..." or, of course, "HELP!!!". Then you have to click on it to see what it is only to find out it's another PS3 rant or a "TBC haven't updated in 3 full! I'll bet Mike has cancer!" threads.

Peeve: People who keep reminding everyone that The Da Vinci Code is a fictitious novel.

Honestly - why is there always some smartarse who feels that they must point out that fact every time the book is mentioned? And just today, I saw some book called The Da Vinci Hoax, dedicated to explaining just how ficticious TDVC is.

Look people, no one is trying to say it's fact. Dan Brown isn't, Ron Howard isn't, and no one else is.

So..... STOP BRINGING IT UP! WE KNOW IT'S FICTION! WE'RE NOT IDIOTS!

Thank you.

My Pet peeve is when people tell you you're not sorry when you say sorry. Especially my Dad, who adds: "If you were sorry, you wouldn't have done it in the first place." Think about that.

I think it makes sense. How can you feel bad about something afterwards, but not before? In most cases people are just sorry that they got caught.
