ROFL. Totally. Speaking of which, I have to finish 4 of them in the next 4 days.

When you're in pain but you don't know how to explain what hurts, so people assume you have some rare jungle virus instead of a canker sore.

Todd Brownings Freaks, an old cult classic and a movie I've been wanting to see for years is finally coming on TV tonight. And of course it's the one night I'm going to be gone this week.

Expletive.

I'm glad to hear that?

Myself, I'm feeling pretty swell after a nice cup of Edey's cookies & cream, with a dash of Kissables on top. :3

EDIT: which, btw, isn't my peeve. My peeve is instead stupid candy like m&m's or Crunch bars and the like. Guh. Kissables is my anti-peeve.

Peeve: Cleaning my facial hair out of the sink after I shave.

This takes forever. I don't know why it is so hard to get facial hair trimmings and shave gell to go down the drain.

At least you do it. My former roommate (the male one, I had two - one male, one female) used to just leave his in the sink. He was such a slob, it used to give me panic attacks.

If you think that's bad, you should see the sink at the appartment I used to live at. They have dishes there that haven't been cleaned since I moved out of there, and that was back in March! I was the only one that did any cleaning there. I'm glad I'm not there anymore.

Peeve - not being able to sleep in a bed that's not yours.

Last night was the best sleep I had in ages, because the previous 2 nights I was sleeping at a friend's house. First night was a horrible sleep.
2nd night was slightly better, because I hopped back to my place to get my pillows. Only slightly better, but still not a lot of sleeping happened.
You know how you kinda make a 'groove' in your bed, the space that you sleep in.
Well, it wasn't there in the other bed at my friend's house, I just couldn't get comfortable, so I was up almost the whole night, just thinking.

And, the other gripe with this is the thinking. If you think about stuff when you can't sleep, it all compounds, and you start thinking about serious stuff, stuff that worries you. Which means you absolutely CANNOT get to sleep at all, even if you felt you were about to. That little thought comes back to bite you on the butt and jerks you back into the land of the wakeness.

I'm so glad I'm sleeping in my own bed again tonight!!!

Same issue, opposite problem. I slept really good while visiting a friend, but can't sleep a wink now I'm back home. And now I have to get up and go to work.

But it's the same thing - while I was visiting my friend, I think I was able to lay aside some of my problems for a while. Now that I'm home, they're back full steam.

It usually doesn't work that way with me, though.

Well Dids and PT, at least you guys get sleep. I'm alwayd up half the night because I keep thinking I hear things. I'm really paranoid when it's night time. And even when I do calm down, it's still hard for me to fall asleep.

You could always tape it....

Peeve: Bonus Stage. It seems atleast half the forum is obsessed with it. I used to be, before I realized the creator is a complete jerk and the cartoon wasn't really that funny anymore.

So yes, I think bonus stage is complete BS.

What about earplugs? Assuming your alarm clock is loud enough so you'll still wake up, that is.

Or some white noise. I have a ticky clock in my bedroom that always helps me fall asleep. And my sister has some CDs that are designed for that purpose.

An ordinary fan can usually do the trick.

Well, the thing is, I'm afraid that if I'm wearing earplugs I wouldn't be able to hear if there was a fire or a burglar in the house.

As for the noise, I need near absolute silence to fall asleep. I cant sleep when there's a radio on, or when someone's snoring. But yet I can easily fall asleep in a car.....when I'm not driving it, naturally.

I'd suggest trying the white noise thing. It might take you a night or two to get used to it, but the human brain has an amazing capacity for adaptation.

When I was younger I'd have one of those box air conditioners in my windown in the summer. When my dad put it in it would drive me nuts for the first couple of nights, but then I'd get used to it, and then when he took it out at the end of the summer I'd have trouble sleeping without it.

Edit: TOTPD! :eekdance:
