I'm sure that's going to make Mum glad she brought us into the world. Isn't Mother's Day tomorrow? She's in Australia, so it's about a day ahead there. So it's Mother's Day for them. Not us. Peeve = Power outages. My power went out earlier when I was on this forum. Sure, it went back on a minute later, but it cleared all the new posts yellow thingy. Gah. |

You must envy me, I have a laptop. So when the power goes out my laptop stays on >:P Though, I don't stay on in power outages. POWER OUTAGES ARE AWESOMENESS. Peeve: When people learn something new and they over use what they learned, like if they learned a new word they would automatically say it in conversation. That bugs the crap out of me. |

Ramrod - you might want to get yourself a Uninteruptable Power Suppy. I recommend them for compy users, anyway, regardless of whether they have frequent power outages. Most good UPC's have built-in surge protection, and aren't much more expensive that quality surge protectors. But here's the thing: while a surge protector can protect against spikes in power, they cannot protect against drops in power (brown outs), which can be just as damaging to your equipment. At Good Shepherd, I notice that, when the air conditioner kicks on, the lights in the building dim just slightly. A UPC will protect your compy against that kind of thing, as well. |

Exactly.. Please don't feed the trolls. Just ignore their posts. It takes less effort and it works a lot better than "get out of here" and "stop posting". |

New Peeve: salt water. For rinsing, not for swimming. My wisdom teeth are mostly in on the bottom, but there's not quite enough room for them. It's not so much that I need to have them pulled, though, so I'm just dealing with it. Anyhoo, I was having some pain on Saturday and my dad (a dentist, not just some hack) told me to rinse with salt water 10 times a day to prevent infection! So gross. But it does remind me of that time a few years ago when I had to do this before. I was at the botfriend's house while he was at work, and I fell asleep watching TV. When he came home, he saw my water bottle and took a big drink. I woke up to hear him spitting it out in the sink. |

Peeve: Celebrity women who use their stupidity and beauty as a marketing tool. Eg.: Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, Kellie Pickler, scores of other bimbos. Why can't women celebrate their intelligence AND their beauty? Sure, most of us aren't rocket scientists (I certainly have my goofy, ditsy moments), but these girls are putting it on to make money, and I'm sick of it. Ladies, don't be ashamed of your high SAT scores! Now, this is not me saying every woman HAS to be "beautiful" (I'm refering to the media definition of beauty here) and intelligent. I guess I'm just saying be proud of who you are, and STOP BEING FAKE! Uhg. The End. I love you all! |
