Does anyone else hate it when your shoes get wet? Mine did today at work, and they're still soaked. And now my toes are all wrinkly.

Oh, yes, definitely. I hate that. Not only will your feet get soaked and cold, but your socks are going to stink quite a bit unless you wash 'em right away.
Yeah, definately. It didn't help that I was working all day, walking around and such. My shoes and socks after I took them off = not good smell......yarr....

I used to always get my feet wet, but I'd never wear socks. Now I have fungus all over my feet (it's not like mushrooms or anything like that though).

Eww......now you know why I always were socks....not to the beach though, that's way to nerdy, even for me.

My sister got accepted to both Yale and Harvard in the same week. Sure, I'm happy for her, but also, I am very mad. Now, I have to live up to the standards she set. Ending up a failure in my parent's eyes. I'm already excited...

Also, when I am playing Call of Duty 2 online, the lag is so BAD. I'll be looking down the scope, just about to hold my breath so I can take a shot, when - CONNECTION INTERRUPTED. CONNECTION INTERRUPTED. CONNECTION INTERRUPTED. BlahBlahButthead killed iKipapa.
Luckily, there's a patch coming out on Tuesday.

Woah, that must suck. Good for your sister though, does she know where she's going?

No word yet on which one she wants to go to. Whichever one woos her over more when she gets invited for the weekend orientation thingees.
This is for grad school, for those who didn't know. Which is probably all of you.

I know how you feel. My parents always are comparing me to my brothers, and it gets so anoying. They expect me to be a genuis like my oldest brother and a popular, strong football player like my other older brother. I'm not either of those. I'm a mildly intelligent skinny guy. I'm not uber strong nor am I on the Deans list.

I didn't complain or anything. He was pretty cute I guess, but I just didn't see it going anywhere. ;)

Hey, it's hard being the 'smart' child. Growing up I was the kid who got the good grades that the other siblings constantly got compared. However, once my grades slipped just a bit, I got hit the hardest by the bad-grade guilt trip. Ooof.

...I guess that's a personal pet peeve for me =P

My situation's kind of the reverse. Me and both my younger brothers were pretty unspectacular B/C students throughout high school, and we've all since graduated, but now my sister, currently in 9th grade, is pretty much a straight "A" student that might have a VERY good chance at being valedictorian and getting into an extremely high profile school. I'm thrilled for her in a lot of ways, of course, but it does make me feel really bad about how I wasted my own potential, especially now.

Reminds Me of those bratty rich teenage girls that get everything They want, yet They still complain.
Which brings Me to the peeve of disrespectful children, the parents of these children need to teach There kids some manners and obediance(sp?), instead of just fueling there rudness(sp?) problem by giving Them toys, designer clothing, ect.

I agree, parents are responsible for their children, and many parents toss away the responsibility.

The american spelling of "monologue" and "dialogue" ("monolog" and "dialog") really annoys me... I don't know why... :-/

I don't know anyone that spells it like that. I do not, never will, and if I ever see anyone do it, I'll smack them. Hard.

Same here, I've never seen anyone speel it like that, unless you count my computer science teacher who spelled dialog as dialogue (So it's the other way around)

No, no, no. "Monolog" and "dialog" are not "American" spellings. You will never, ever see a good writer, American or otherwise, spell them that way. "Dialog" is acceptable in computer terminology when you're referring to a dialog box, but that's it.

Actually, for a very long time those spellings were encouraged and correct in the USA. Dialog is one of the few spellings that ever caught on at all, but there were changes recommended for dozens of words.

On a second note, I hate it when I can't remember where I got a link from...

Why do They even bother to join in the first place? if one is to join a forum They have to be loyal to it, it should be internet etiquette.

Yeah, they'd be exactly like me!

Right now my peeve is my Strong Bad hoodie. When I got it it was all nice and comfy. But stupid old me forgot that hoodies shrink. Now it's rather tight on me, and kinda ichy. It's my fault really for not getting a bigger one.

Okay, I can understand your peeve that you overslept, but I think "Sleeping in" might have been the wrong term. "Oversleeping" would probably have been better. I think that sleeping in implies you had all the time you needed to sleep and took it.

Well Acertron, he did have time to sleep and took it, and took some more with it. It's common with me too. But with me I have to be up when the alarm goes off, because since I'm sharing an appartment with three other guys that all have early classes like I do, it's a mad house.
