Yep.. I feel your pain completely. The thing that kills me is that I can buy all of the books I needed this semester at the AMS conference 2 weeks from now for about half what my bookstore charged me. |

Peeve: Being ignored. It is just me or am I the Forum doormat. It seems like no matter what I do on here I can't get any respect. Everyone overlooks me. I'll give you three examples. 1. Whenever I make anything for anyone, nobody thanks me for it. I made a fanfic in the fall that I gave up on because nobody was reading. I made the Join the SCARMY banner, Skee requested it I made. I didn't just make it for Skee, I made it for anyone in the SCARMY. and to this date I have seen three people use it. 2. The forum awards. Thanks for the snub guys. It seems the only way I could get a nod was to make a category, and even that got shot down. Jitka thought it was "too specific". If that was the case the Forum Awards should only have two categories: Best User and Best Topic. I did get a nomination for best poster though(Thank WHF) but nobody seconded it. I WAS THE SECOND PERSON NOMINATED AND NOBODY COULD EVEN SAY "I SECOND BTG FOR BEST POSTER." Thanks a lot guys. And here is the insult of insults. 3. My birthday. On January 3rd, I announced in the birthday thread that it was my birthday. FOUR PEOPLE RESPONDED, And then to add insult to injury, Funkstar had to go and say this on his birthday: Funkstar wrote: Thanks guys. I'm glad I'm more popular than BTG. Boy doesn't that make me feel good. Even my friend Dormar didn't say anything, here or in real life, and he is my best friend. The only people on here who seem care about me are SC, Dormar, StrongRad, and WHF. I'm tired of it. I am tired of being the doormat. If I do something right let me know, it makes me feel good.[/quote] |

Hey, you're not ignored. Just because no-one says anything about it doesn't mean they don't care about it. I never really got any thanks for the crap I made. It happens. As for the awards, it's a shame you weren't nominated, but that's the way things go. There was many more people other than you that got snubbed. You're far from the doormat, and I guarantee everyone here will agree with that. |

BTG: Hey! I seem to recall making a sign pic for you. And capitalizing on your love of anime characters with large firearms. And I read your fanfic. In fact, I was looking forward to seeing my character start flirting with QC's character. And I haven't hit you with the FCOT+3...lately. |

Okay. I'll admit. I've seen it before. I was a lurker for a pretty good while. Mostly because my attempts to register all failed. MY SECRET HAS BEEN REVEALED. |

I guess the problem is, and StrongRad pointed this out, is that everyone expects me to be here and they take me for granted. People expect to see Beyond the Grave on the list of users. I probably log more hours on here than anyone else. I think if this forum was to ever go down that I would be the guy turning off the lights.

Peeve: Internet rudeness (not here, of course) I signed up for another forum yesterday, in hopes of getting a bit of soundtrack information. By today, I had been called a "tremendous Bundle of sticks", and accused of pirating music and not reading the rules ("Did you read the rules? Yeah, you didn't.") Hmm. Apparently I can't handle abuse.

Cold shower=Very unhappy me. I hate when that happens.. I had it happen once in a hotel, right after I got my hair lathered up. I ended up running water through the coffee pot to get hot water, then mixing the hot water with normal temp water in the ice bucket to get warm enough water to rinse my hair. |

I remember when I was in Germany, the shower curtain was very friendly, I couldn't get it off of me. But that wasn't as bad as in France. The French are so in love with themselves, they don't believe in shower curtains or shower doors. |

I can add to that, BTG. In the flat we stayed in on our trip to England, there were two bathrooms, one with a bath and one with a shower. The one with the shower had a door that didn't lock properly, and, unfortunately for me, the shower door was completely clear. Even the wall on the side of the shower door (you know what I mean, right? The wall that the shower door was built into?) was clear. Of course, as I was showering one day, my dad walked in to use the bathroom. Just my luck. (Thank God it was my dad and not one of my guy friends!) |

When I was in England, I stayed in the Best Western in Bath. The hotel used to be a house of ill-repute. The room I was in was nice the only problem was there was no shower, just a bath. That was the first bath that I had since I was 7 years old.

You had to take a bath... in Bath? Har. I don't remember where I stayed when I was in Bath, but it wasn't no Best Western. |
