That IS a good concern, but getting one's stuff janked is a big concern, too.

That IS a good concern, but getting one's stuff janked is a big concern, too.


Perhaps get one of those "protected by security system" stickers and put it on his door or something as an idle threat. Or...He said he had dogs, maybe those would do something (not to him because they'd now his scent or something crazy like that).

Well, first off, they'd need a ladder to get into the bathroom window. Second, it's not a big window either, as I almost got stuck in it, and I'm a pretty small guy. Third, they'd be seen by our always spying neighbors. And fourh, the dogs, and to a greater extent, our crazy cat.


Oh, and about the bathroom window, I was lucky that it was unlocked. It was the only unlocked thing in the entire house. I was lucky, because it was quite cold out.

speaking of breaking into your own house, that once happend to me. it was freezing cold outside, and i just got home from school, but i left my key in the house. the house was completley locked, and i couldnt find a way in. then i remembered that i broke the window in my room, but it was broken in half, not shattered, so i went to the little shelf in the backyard and found a FlatHead screw driver. i removed the mesh cover, then worked the Screwdriver under the glass and opend the locked window. i climbed in, put the broken glass back where it was, and treated it like a normal day. aweful...

Semicolons are tricky. For example, one use them in certain situations where you can normally use a comma, but are expressing a list afterwards.

Another peeve...well, this is more of a psychotic hatred.

Ok everyone, listen up... Music is present in every aspect of our daily lives. Whether it is on a commecial, a tv show, when you are in a store, or even in an elevator; it is always present (that was an example of the proper use of a semicolon.) Even with its prominence in every mundane aspect of our lives, musicians sure get treated poorly. People look down on you... yet, they rely on the fruits of their talents... just something I thought that needed to be brought up.

Alberto - I resent that commentary from that KN guy. I'm a third-generation Spanish emigrant (very proud of my heritage, I even have a Spanish flag.) I'm not a born-again Christian, nor am I a Christian in the first place... and I don't support the war (ending this conversation before it starts, I already went on a rant about it today... don't want to do it until tomorrow.)

Don't pay mind to him or Maddox. Maddox is a trollp who projects his own fallacies onto others.

StrongRad - I guess that happens everywhere. Where I live, we have a massive elderly population (and no, it's not florida). They usually drive slower than my patience would normally condone... and somedays when there's snow on the ground, I feel like parking my car, running up to the back of their car and start pushing. Yes, they go that slow!!!

Ramrod - I know the metric system. When I do graphics, that's all I use.

I went christmas shopping today. The resulting pet peeves are as follows.

- mothers with enormous prams cluttering up the walkway for everyone

- people who walk slowly and there's no way to get past them

- brainless shop assistants who have been hired solely for the christmas trading period and who have had little to no training prior to starting actual work there. Sometimes I think the shops would be better off not hiring christmas staff because things seem to take twice as long when they do!

I do that as well. Also, for some reason my I's don't want to capatalize, and it's peeving the crap outta me.

I've the opposite problem, when I'm writing in Irish in Word. The Irish word for "in" is "i" (small letter), but Word keeps capitalising it automatically. And I can't work out how to turn that freaking thing off without turning off the dictionary, and no else knows either. Ugh!

I would go to tools > autocorrect, then find "i" and delete it.

I love PDAs, especially in areas where people are prone to staring at "zomg hawt g0th lesbians" (as nihilisticangel/girlfriend frequently says). We also make a game of picking out the person most likely to glare at us, and then going for the full-on pash right in front of them.

That happens to goths regardless of your sexual orientation. Trust me on this (from personal experience), it's funny!

Another thing I do sometimes is if someone is staring to intently, I
switch over to a subject that I have been studying (which may become
my minor in college at some boint): Mortuary Science. Especially burial methods, the process of embalming and other things.

PM me if you want some interesting facts. Such as the newer practice of freeze drying as an alternative to cremation.

Also, since I have a beefy car stereo (500 watts, 5 speaker system witha 12 inch subwoofer), all of the wannabe gangsters always look at me funny when I drive by blasting Switchblade Symphony (a band that gets incredible bass response).

Not too many people know any better. A lot of posers here say they are and they listen to nothing but slipknot and korn.... It agitates me. If they went to Coven 13 in Hollywood, they'd either get their butt kicked by the door man, get a few dozen drinks poured on them, or get laughed out of there. That club rules!

There's nothing goth about slipknot, they just suck..

There's nothing goth about Korn, either. I always thought of them as a "skateboarder" band, mainly because all of the skateboarders at my high school listened to them (and got me hooked on them).

My pet peeve: People who post chain crap on myspace bulletins. Seriously, Tom is not going to delete your account and send Bill Clinton and Jesus to your house to burn it down if you don't post some stupid thing saying that he will if you don't repost that. They aren't checking for inactive accounts by seeing if you'll post some stupid story about some missing kid. Geez.

I live in southern Oregon. A lot of people here are really _______ stupid. This is a really backwards area that has very little contact with the outside world. I'm just happy to say that I am Californian by birth.

Plus, it doesn't help this place used to be a Klan hub!! >_<

Yeah, as much as I think there's an unbelievable amount of great current music out there to be found that doesn't ever get played on the radio (which you don't even have to look very hard for either, especially with easy internet access!), the idea that anything sucks just because it's mainstream in any way is ridiculous.

A couple peeves:

#1: Overprotective parents who generally underestimate what I can do in life. Too complicated and boring to explain in detail, but it's really aggravating me a lot.

#2: A recurring one - people who sign up for H*R Clue yet don't take their turn, and in some cases don't even understand the rules at all, or even read the posts on what you're supposed to do. Maybe one day we'll get a game together made up of players who are actually reliable at taking their turn on time and halfway understand the strategies.

#1. I'm lucky, my parents are nowhere near voerprotective, and I think I'm pretty mature for my age, so that helps. I pretty much can decide what I want to do, they never check if I do my homework or anything, they jsut know I'll do it because that's me. Some aprents ened to realize that most kids, especially when they become a teenager, can make the right decisions and aren't gonna do anythign stupid, unless they've doen so in the past. It's kinda like a wave, you're not gonna be overprotective to your kids, but your grandkids won't know what it feels liek to be overprotective, so they'll do it more, and it goes in that pattern. That pattern appears a lot in human interaction, I've noticed

#2. We should have some type of quiz thing before you can play. ;)

Well, I'm not one of them. I've actually sat down and listened to them. I could care less if they are mainstream or not. I like Godhead and The Cure, and they are considered mainstream. Korn and Slipknot just don't appeal to me because I don't like how they sound.
