My Uncle Fred just called to cancel Thanksgiving for the second year in a row. I think I got a reason, but I could really hear what it was.

While now we're going to one of my dad's brothers instead of my mom's brother, Thanksgiving just isn't the same.

Argh, my family always gets on me for not eating leftovers, and I find the whole idea of leftovers to my vile and vomitrocious. But my mom always makes enough food for 10 people, even though only 4 of us live at home, so we have a TON of leftovers, and isn't ever anything good either, it is always gross recipes from this evil cookbook she got a year ago. Like, the scent of these recipes make me want to retch, and don't even get me started on what they look like.

When I read the first part of your post, I was thinking you were off your rocker.
Leftovers are totally FTW! Whether you're lazy, busy, or otherwise just don't have time to cook more than a couple times per week, leftovers are the only way to fly.

Of course, if your hatred comes from this cookbook, I say destroy it (or send it to me, depending on what it is).

What is this cookbook?

I am pretty sure that this is it. I flipped through it, and there are SOME not horrible recepies, but my mom seems to only pick out the ones like Shepard's Pie and that Beefy Cabbage with Pineapple abomination.

On a side note, I should go shave.

That sucks, dude.
That picture should be the first clue that it contains crappy recipes. It's probably got some section about how to "hide" veggies in your kids' favorite meals.

Replace is with a barbecue or cajun cookbook and you'll be a lot better off.

Yeah! Get one of those! Then rip the cover off that cook book, and put it over the other book! See how long it takes her to figure out what happened!

"Hey! This food tastes good! *GASP!!* Someone Must Have Switched My Cook Book!"

-Simple

-Easy

-What book?

-Which book?

-Just say that most muslims there a ticked off, and try to explain why by being racist and saying that their area of the world sucks.

-Beat up a nerd and steal his.

All very simple problems that can be easily fixed.

The grill or the Cookbook?

A COLA in his natural habitat. Take note of his sarcasm by wondering which one melted.

This my fellow forumers, is true comedy.

Yeah, I've been meaning to talk to you about that... They sent it to me instead.
I'll send it to you when I replace the money I spent on pizza, beer, and microwave burritos.

Seriously, though. I'd call the bank. It shouldn't take them more than about a week to mail it to you.

Somebody bombed my signature because it was so terrifying.

This will just make things worse. Before, Dwight would just be inside your room and stare at you until 3:15. Now he's probably gonna be rifiling through your stuff too.

I don't see it, Noid. Maybe you should use Tinypic until Imageshack gets their freaking act together.

Imageshack is the freakin best, and anyone who dissagrees is an HTML3.41 freak who lives in their mothers basement.

I feel exactly the same way about Henry David Thoreau. That dude cast a black cloud over my summer.

I just finished Slaugherhouse-Five and now I'm casually reading a book of This I Believe essays. The latter is the reason I want to go into public radio when I grow up. :)

edit: hee, I thought this was the book thread for a second there. Well, the thought still stands.
