Yeah I'd like to have a party pizza, plain cheese. Uhh, some mild wings - two things of those, I guess. Also a 12 pack of breadsticks. Do you guys still have that Free Pepsi offer going on with an additional 12 breadsticks? Yeah, I'll have 12 more breadsticks for the Pepsi. What does that come to? What?! 35.90?!? Screw that, I'm getting Chinese tonight... |

OMG I JUST COUNTED HOW MANY LICKS IT TAKE TO REACH THE CENTER OF A TOTTIES POP. IT TAKES 717 LICKS. I was bored. Now the world knows |

Uh that's not a big deal. It's been done before with a different answer every time. Plus it depends on what you mean by center - just reaching the chocolate part from one thing, reaching the chocolate part from all things, or getting it down to the white stick. |

Someone should do it the scientific way. They should set a certain amount of time a lick can go on for, how much of the lolipop is touched by the tongue, the tongue should be kept at a certain moisture level, stuff like that. Then we can conclusively say how many licks it takes based on certain factors. |

Salival content, surface area of lick, tongue size and texture, lollipop size (Microscopic level, I mean), and pressure of lick all must be taken into account. Well, it would require taking the mean average of all factors I stated above, as well as others. But to do this, we would have to make everyone in the world lick tootise pops with scientists watching... Science says: If you get 717, you must suck. lol |

A doctorate student at University of Michigan built a licking machine to test this. His number was about 400. A group at Purdue got something like 350. I learned this useless bit of information in my meteorology programming class. We were doing Java and the teacher was using the analogy of an object being a tootsie pop and the data being the middle. The only way to access the data in an object was through a method (in this case, lick). If the laughter wasn't bad enough, he told us about the licking machine. At that point, there was no real point in trying to continue class. Laughter was all around. Apparently, grad students have the gutter mind of seventh graders. |

It probably already has a sort of "tongue" you'd just have to program it to make out rather than lick. |
