I'm much the same with Invader Zim. I ADORE the show (I'm actually wearing a GIR hoodie right now), but the fangirls are...weird. And I know that sounds hypocritical coming from me, but trust me.

Though I'm prolly just saying that because HUGE Jhonen Vasquez fangirls tend to be stupid. Not just obsessive, but stupid as well. Which is a shame, because he really is brilliant.

The worst ones are the shippers, though. They, unlike, say, me, have no regard WHATSOEVER for canon. Jhonen himself said that IZ was not intended to have any romance, but these people go way overboard.
