Looking at the source of the "gender" thing, I'd say it is all over-reaction. That site seems to have a heavy conservative slant, think Fox News, on methamphetamine. I'm willing to bet it's nothing like that at all. The bill probably says something like "Teachers should ask kids who their parents are, not who their mommy and daddy are." or something equally innocuous. |

Actually, I always said "Virginia" under my breath when we sang that song. Because I thought it was cool to not be from South Carolina. I know what that sounds like, but I think it was really just the beginning of me liking what the minority likes. |

Well, there's the huge problem of Indians still living in the middle of the continent. Not to mention French influence was starting to creep down into the middle. Also, the English felt it was a lot safer to start out on the eastern seaboard than to try and push into unfamiliar territory that was most likely owned by Indians or other European countried.
