I'm gonna stop coming to this freaking thread. Every time I post here, I'll leave and it'll be 10 pages ahead by the time I get back.

I know what you mean, Dewy.

Of course, it might help if at least some of the posts here were made in threads where those topics are already being discussed.

For example, don't we already have a web comic thread?

How often does one conversation last more than one page on this thread?

There was that one time like 40 pages ago when the server was about to go down for maintenance, and everybody talked about getting last post etc.

I agree Didy.

That's because they weren't playing the last post game, they were just posting until the server went down.

And Diddy, you mods and admins have to admit that the title: Random Thoughts, is pretty vauge, don't you think?
My suggestion: if your going to start a serious discussion, go post in the correct thread or make one. If your going to make a quick remark, talk about it for awhile, then move on, post it here.

That totally hasn't been said thousands of times before.

Well, things usually start as quick remarks that couldn't have a whole thread made out of them, and gradually become actual interesting conversations. A lot of conversations in RT needed to start in RT to actually be what they are.

So apparently, I found two meteorites in the garden. I'm being skeptical, as is my dad, but my mom is convinced it's a meteorite, and possibly lots of money. Yeah, they're both magnetic, but I'm not going to fall into the disappointment trap.

So are they ATTRACTED to magnets, or are they themselves magnets? Either way, there are numerous reasons they are probably not meteorites:
1. Two in one place?
2. If they're meteorites, why didn't you hear them land?
3. Even if they are magnets, they may just be lodestones.
4. Lastly, the heat from getting through Earth's atmosphere would probably demagnetize a magnet.

They may be, though. I doubt it.

Ever been bored with the music you listen to?

I have been for the past like...5 months.

Leave it to good ol' Reel Big Fish to get me out of it.

Well, it's probably a piece that fell off from the big one, as there were many more fragments of whatever it is. My dad held a speaker magnet over the area where I found it and dozens of tiny fragments became attracted.

I didn't hear it land because it was over 30 years ago my mom first "found it". :p
