I don't. Probably was too old for that.

It came out twenty years ago.

Oh, come on. No one's too old for that kind of thing. Anyway, I haven't seen it yet, but I'm totally prepared to go down to the local video store some time tomorrow and see if they've got it.

On an unrelated note: Why am I here at 6:22 AM ET?

None of them have it where I live (Canberra) anymore. I had to get a copy off eBay. It was worth it, though. I'd completely forgotton about that city of light song. And the creepy drawn out way they'd say "The Maaaaaaster".

Why don't most gym teachers, particulary the fat ones, do anything physical in gym?! I mean, I know they're in that place all day, but they could at least do a bit of physical stuff and be thought of as a good example instead of a fatty. *coughcurrentgymteachercough* Like the black gym teacher the other one's friends with. :D

I only remember that because it was on the previews before The Power Rangers movie, but it scared the crap out of me too.

That movie wins. Didn't they fight a giant magnet in a junkyard?

Indeed. The magnet kept trying to put them on a conveyor belt with a bunch of old cars which would crush them into little cubes.

I also remember the air conditioner. I loved that thing, but he blew up.

It was pretty much the basis of all modern language, so it's not that useless...

However, it won't get you very far if you're trying to order something at McDonalds. Latin's got it's uses, they're just very specialized these days.

Well, in the modern day, yeah, it's pretty useless. More and more Spanish is becoming used in America (especially in California due to immigration), so that'd probably be the way to go.

Japanese!

My guidance counselor wanted to kill me for suggesting that one. He asked me when I was signing up for seior classes which spanish level I wanted to take. It would have been my fifth year (technically eleventh) year of spanish, of which the classes after spanish 3 he forced me to take. I was tempted to just flat out say I didn't want to take any more, but I didn't. Actually, I wanted to jump back to Japanese 1, just to throw off Collegeboard. He didn't like the idea, so AP Spanish it was

She.

And no. But she would get up in my face and scream REALLY loudly at me if I mispronounced something. I also have a somewhat unusual pencil grip, and she tried to make me change it so I could "make good shape" (or, rather, "mehk geeewwd sheeeehp") with my letters.

Even though my handwriting was great.

She also just did a bunch of other crazy stuff. I dunno why she hasn't been fired yet.

Also, she fails at English and expects us all to understand her, even though she can barely speak English and WE aren't that good at Japanese. In addition, our textbooks were ENTIRELY in Japanese. Like I said. Crazy lady.

Like Ace said, it's the basis of most modern languages, such as Spanish, French, Italian, and English. That and Greek. Not only that, but several professions (legal, medical, philosophical, literary, etc.) still use Latin terminology. So no. It's not useless at all.

I can guarantee that your teacher was not half as awesome/crazy as my German teacher was.
