I should... take opportunities for quick cash. $40 on the Bears-Chargers game, and $30 for eating a bee stinger. $70 I could have gotten, but I didn't speak up and my dad put me on a lousy spot on the pool. 0 and 0 would've been my lucky numbers for a change!

Oh well. I guess I should get off my stoop and get a job.

Not to sound very insensitive, but I don't really care about that. I mean, yes, it is a national tragedy, but it's just not something on my list of things I should care about. The Bin-Laden tape, yes. Getting a job, yes. My life, yes. An attack that barely affected me, not so much.

The lack of Nazi Jokes today is my act of respect for what this day is remembered for, but I'm not going to spend the day moping around. Make today a pleasant day, thus you rub it in Bin Laden's face that his terrorism has no hold on us. This was the suggestion I heard on the Rick and Bubba radio show.

To some extent, I agree. Yes, it was a horrible thing to happen, but I am not by nature a very patriotic person to begin with. We don't remember Pearl Harbor Day with the same enthusiasm anymore, or the attack on Fort Sumter. For that matter, while most of us remember the 4th of July, I'm willing to bet that fewer than half of us can remember when the first battle of the American Revolution took place.

But as of right now, for my part, any trolling today will be immediately deleted. That goes for you, Duece and Cola.
