Everybody, you all do realize that if there's no admins around, nothing can get done on that side of things?

Wait until ramrod or sree come back then storm the castle. Unless today's not actually Rusty's day to come back or it is but he's busy today :ehsteve:

Rusty's day to come back was actually yesterday. All the admins and mods were up in the grill by then, but they might've forgotten about him.

Seriously, when you get to know Rusty, he's a nice guy. And if you don't think he is, then maybe the ban helps in changing your viewpoint on him.

By and large being a jerk when it wasn't called for. It stacked up enough to notice, he didn't stop it after being warned several times, so he got a month.

I also have to say that whatever beef you have with him, you should talk to him about. I like all you guys, but I've noticed everybody has a habit of taking things out on people in public instead of actually talking to the person in a neutral setting.

He said a racial slur referring to Chinese people in an out of context quote that didn't insult anyone.

Shouldn't really have been banned for it, but that's the administration for ya.

Yup.

Admittingly, he's pushed the envelope before so I can understand a ban. Not for that incident, but in general a suspension was probably due. I love my Rusty, but sometimes he wears his heart on his sleeve and just lets it all out. He knows that.

Also: I BOUGHT RUST IN PEACE AT BEST BUY. FINALLY. Even if it doesn't have the same finish as the original, un-remastered version, I've been looking for it and I couldn't find a torrent.

He's actually a nice guy, he just has a really dry sense of humor and little tolerance for "idiots". I notice a lot of people have that fault, too. He just takes it to another level, which he can easily learn to calm down with the RIGHT kind of encouragement. I think he's worth the time, because he's actually a very nice and entertaining person.

Not to say his attitude couldn't be controlled down to acceptable levels. Like COLA, who will sometimes PM his most malevolent thoughts instead of letting them loose on the forum. Hee hee hee.

This is true for some of the time, but generally we'd like it if Rusty would take that "malevolent" aspect and turn it into more of the convivial aspect that TFE is willing to demonstrate towards him.
