We're all ruled by someone; Our parents, our Jobs, our Wives, our Boss, our music, our TV, our everything. We can never be truly independent. You can go out into space, go as far as your hsip can take you, but you're still ruled by the Air that you will eventually run out of, you are a slave to the constant need of repairs for that ship, and a slave to the food you must ingest to do it all. even in death, you are still ruled by something. Your next of kin takes rule over what to do with your body, then the funeral home rules where your body stays and what it stays in, even down to how you are dressed in death. If there is a god and you go to heaven, you are still ruled by him, you'd have to wear what he makes you wear, think how he wants you to, and do what he wants you to, and the same goes for the place down below, except everything is more red and instead of $7.50 an hour, you get $5.85. No matter what we do, no matter how hard we try, SOMETHING will always have control over us. |

So what you're saying is: for true freedom and independence, you need to be a hobo? I made an edit, read the whole post again. the only way to ever be truly independent is if you are dead, but only if there is no heaven or hell, or god or idol, but only oblivion. Even then, you'd still be ruled by something: Nothing. EDIT: 4 AM, /b/ is still there, but there are notopics and no information whatsoever. It might just be teh server refusing to put out more, but I'll keep trying. Also: Note to self: Song Title: A Note to a New Machine |

What breed are they?

My puppy looks almost exactly like Annie, only she's probably smaller and is dachsund/something else, probably beagle or pitbull. Weird. And she's also Smartest Dog Ever. We walk our dogs almost every night, and we pass by this rose bush, okay? Well, once Coco [my puppy] got in there and came out carrying something I almost immidiately indentified as a dead, rotting bird. My dad had to dig in her mouth and pry the bird out, and he refused to take Chester [my older, bigger dog] back. In fact, he wouldn't touch anything with the hand he took the bird out with. Coco is smart. |

Which goes along with the unsettling truth about heaven. Won't we get bored in a perfect world? Will we run out of things to entertain us with? (Seriously, what'd you gonna do in heaven?) 1. Ask for answers to all life's questions 2. ... 3. Play video games? Hang out with people who didn't go to hell? Or purgatory, for those who believe in it. Then again, I'll still have my 72 virgins |
