Best Buy said yes, Altex said no, so no, nothing lost.

Try to backup all the important files somewhere, like a backup hard drive. Then, if something like this should arise, then blah blah blah.

I spent over $600 at BestBuy just trying to get it fixed. I even bought a new copy of Vista because they said that the new MB would erase my HDD. BestBuy fried my brand new ASUS motherboard. I took it to Altex, they took my fried motherboard back, gave me an SLI ready ASUS motherboard for only the difference, mounted it, installed all the necessary components, and gave me a Linksys wireless card, all for free.

So, now lets see what we learned: Best Buy over-charges for the simplest things, ($65 for a "Diagnostic," all they did was plug it in, pressed the power button and said that it wouldn't turn on), they make you wait in line longer than necessary, (2 hours with only four people in front of me. 2 HOURS!), They point out the obvious, acting like you didn't know what was wrong with your system, even if you told them already, ("Dude, it won't turn on..."), Its always a software problem to them, even if its clearly a hardware problem, ("Dude, your comp won't turn on, so we can't probe the system to find the problem"), When they give it back to you, all they do is slap a few BestBuy stickers on it, and wipe the HDD saying it was "necessary," ("Since we couldn't get into your system, we wiped your HD completely, so you're gonna need a new copy of Vista"), and they add on hidden charges to the bill, (Seriously, WTF is a "Data System Maintenance and Power Consumption test"?), and all in all, they go at it up the kanooky with no butter.

With Altex, I brought it in, the dude found the problem in THREE MINUTES, no line, no waiting, they greeted me at the door, they took back the motherboard, replaced it with a better one, installed it, updated my BIOS, installed my graphics card, and did all of that for free, (Except for the motherboard, I had to pay the difference of the replacement).

And do you know what Altex gave me that BestBuy could never? A membership to a World of Warcraft guild that gives its level 70 players an Epic Flying mount and Full Flying skill for FREE.

All in all, today was a good day.

I am now alone only Emotionally.

I prefer autoloaders.

Also, the motherboard came with this cool SoundMAX Superbeam microphone array thingy, and I'm installing the drivers right now. This should make my voice extremely clear on all multiplayer Steam games that I own. Plus it mounts right on my monitor!

EDIT: Holy crap these graphics are amazing! I just played Doom3 on the highest quality video settings, and it ran smoother than KY Jelly and a slip-n-slide!

My physics teacher is going to take us to a ranch where we demonstrate the physics of projectile travel and inertia.
READ: We shoot stuff for school and get a day off.

Thats been fixed in Resurrection of Evil, more red lights everywhere.

Also, Kupo, don't knock Vista until you try it. I had my doubts at first, but when I bought a new comp with it installed, it was like going black.

I hated Vista a little until SP1 came out but now I'm content with it.

Let's assume ExtremeJon was a comedian on stage and that the majority of the audience either didn't get the jokes or just thought that they weren't funny.

Which is the more likely scenario?
1: The audience is a bad audience.
or
2: The comedian is a bad comedian.

I favor the latter because the comedian obviously didn't know his audience.

Meh, maybe I've just had a bad experience with it. Mine came preinstalled on my Lenovo lappy I plan on using for college. Problem is, almost all the drivers I use for it make it bluescreen.
Update the Intel graphics driver and try to play GMod? Bluescreen.
Connect to the internet through my phone (which is my primary method of internet access, BTW)? Sporadic Bluescreens.
To be fair, I haven't yet installed SP1 or benchmarked it in comparison with XP on this machine. But, for me at least, it's a dealbreaker when you're doing really good in Team Fortress 2 and you're staring at a bluescreen a minute later.

I'll assume that's sarcasm...
The point is that if the target audience(us) doesn't care for the material(obscure references about No More Heroes), then the comedian(you) is at fault.

Edit: I hope my point was made clear enough, because I should stop before I inflict 2d6 points of drama damage.
If you don't find my d20 reference humorous, that's completely my fault.

I rolled a d20 savings throw and got 19, we resist the impending attack.

I cast magic missile for no reason.

The missile thrusts into the darkness at the edge of your sight. Your force attack is followed by a loud, VERY high-pitched shriek of pain. A figure comes forth from the shadows and falls face down.

After you approach for better observation, you recognize this person as none other than Aaron Carter. That guy won't be on tour any time soon.

You get 1000 Experience Points for ridding the nearby village of this menace and a Vorpal Sword for no apparent reason.

k, so I want to find a certain song but I don't know who it's from. I do know it's from a few years ago, has a guitar and a techno beat, and has these lyrics:

"The people, the people, the people change the way you feel now"

If anyone can help I will love them forever...
