Very yes. It's hard to find "forum-appropriate" ones to post, though.

Speaking of Scientology, what was the success of the Anonymous protests today?

I saw about 300 protesters in Minneapolis. 'Twere nice peoples. I wanted to get a picture with them, but alas, I could not.
Also, the crowd was growing when I left. Took up most of one side of the street, and part of the other.

Edit: I wasn't actually there protesting, I just happened to be in the neighborhood.

what do you do at these protests?

Author:  gunluva [ Sun Mar 16, 2008 9:24 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: Random Thoughts - With new Linux downgrade

A) Wear a Guy Fawkes mask, afro, and business suit.
B) Hold up a poster with an internet meme or an anti-Co$ slogan on it
C) Take a boombox, and blare out "Chocolate Rain" or "Never Gonna Give You Up"
D) Any combination of the above.

If you are successful, there will be cake.

Actually, in addition to the Portal reference, at most of these protests someone ends up bringing cake.

Remember when it was cool to have the high score at the local arcade?

No. But when I was like 7, I got the high score on Simpsons Bowling at some arcade or something. It was awesome.

There's a pizza place over here with a small arcade, I think they might have the only machines in town. They used to have Super Scope, and I pwned that game, got the high score every week.
At least I've accomplished something...

My town has no teen hangouts.

No arcade.

No pool hall.

I feel like I'm being robbed.

The only thing close to an Arcade i have is a Chuckie cheese

But all they have are roulette tables and slot machines carefully disguised as children's games.

The fact that those are legal sicken me

The closest thing we have here to a teen hangout is the 4.50 (matinee 2.50) movie theater.

They did that at the last protest on February 10th too, and it was relatively successful.

As for signs, I am quite partial to the "</scientology>" sign.

What is the definition of success for these protests?

Turnouts with a whole bunch of people.

It was successful because their expecatations were low.
