A full high school education does not guarantee an education. So what if a person never learned physics? Does it make them a worse person? And even if you think so, then how about self-learning philosophy by the great thinkers? Would that still make them a worse person, even though they're gaining knowledge that they can utilize in discussions and actively apply in everyday life? That's better than knowing how much time it takes for an acorn to fall ten feet, isn't it?
