I don't think it's possible, but my approach would be to play the video, hold a mic to it, and record it that way, but the quality would be terrible.

you can download somethin' that'll do that.
I've seen audio rippers for video, but that's not my thing.
so i'd suggest a search on download.com

Better yet, just use your computer's DVD player and either WavePad or Audacity. Just set your mixer's recording source to either Wave or "What U Hear" and go with it.

It's actually a Youtube video that I'm trying to rip the audio from. And I have Audacity but I'm new to it. What exactly would I have to do?

You could bring the video file into a video editing program and export the audio. Of course, I only know how to do that in iMovie and Final Cut Pro. You're on you're on your own from here.

I can export the audio on WMM, but I doubt it will do any good.

Do that and link me to the audio. Then I can do something to it in audacity.

1) Go to http://keepvid.com and put in the url
2) Download the flv
3) Go to http://media-convert.com and upload the flv, convert it to wmv
4) Open up your wmv in Windows Movie Maker from here you can take out the video, save it as whatever
5) Open the saved audio in audacity and from there you can save it to any format your like

If I had no finger... I'd have no itch!

You might get those itches where the nerves think the finger is still there.

EVEN WORSE.

I'm amazed that there's still snow on the ground, but at the same time, I'm amazed that half of it's melted.

I believe this has the possibility of becoming some fun poll topic, 'What Itches?'.

It's actually easier than what basically everybody else has said. Follow Didymus' advice and go into Audacity. Set the recording type to one of his suggestions or "Stereo Mix" depending on whatever your computer says--they all do the same thing. Make sure that there's no other computer sounds going except for the video when you record. That should work.

Holy snap. After deleting facebook notifications, out of the past 100 emails I've gotten, 5 haven't been from one girl. 97/100 sent to her.
Is that pathetic, or impressive? Or pathetically impressive?

Don't feel so bad. I have a VCR that happens to get terrible at rewinding when done long enough. And it once almost ate my tape film.

How can that be pathetic?

I guess it is better to face the almighty truth that stands about us, that is to say, without a dimmer of doubt that our appliances suck.

Whenever I tend to push the fast foward or the rewind button the wrong way, it turns off the VCR and I have to turn it back on, and then it automatically rewinds itself.

But yikes, I suppose a rewind prone VCR is better than one that eats tape film.

EDIT: Er, hooray, top of the page celebration-palooza.
:eekdance: :eekdance:

Complain about your VCR's right here!
Can't help but through your VCR out the window? Old hobo complaining that a random VCR came flying out of nowhere and hit him in the head?
Then join the support group, er-...if there is one.

Like I tried, to poke fun at the chain of complaints that have been going down in this thread, about VCRs.

Any more comments?
