This is the thread to talk about the usual commercial gags that run over and over again, like the 'So easy a caveman can do it' from Geico.

Seriously...WAY...TOO...LONG!!

The thing I ask myself, is how they could possibly find that still funny, yeah good for a while maybe but...yech, it's too much now!

As our resident gecko, I fully agree with you. Maybe one the Cavemen sitcom airs they'll stop putting the guys in their ads.

I remember "WHASUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP?!?!" not dying for maybe a year or so. Gad, that was annoying.

dude i know that geico saves you 15 percent or more on your car insurance, but you don't need to be a caveman in a commercial about the car insurance company geico to prove that you don't approve of geico the car insurance company's savings of 15 percent or more on car insurance

just leave me alone

Remember the old Geico Commercials?

I just got the results back...You are HIV positive. But I have some good news. I just saved a bunch of money by switching to Geico

They always took me by surprise, It always looked like a commercial for something different, then it just turns it to a car insurance commercial at the last second. Lawl.

But the new ones where the Gecko just talks about stupid crap that has nothing to do with anything...Who thought that was a good idea?

Luckily, the only review I've read about the pilot of sitcom is that it is very good. I hope it gets a movie.

Geico had the funniest commericals ever with the "Good news" commercials.

Doctor: I'm terribly sorry Mr. Jenkins, but the cancer is worse than we thought. You will probably die by midnight.

Jenkins: Where is my wife?

Doctor: She got in a car accident on the way here.

Jenkins: oh my god...

Doctor: I do have good news though.

Jenkins: What is it?

Doctor: GEICO LOL!!!

Jenkins: LULZ, YA GOT MEH!!!

I wonder how that TV show they're making from those commercials is going to work.

Did anyone notice how that gecko's accent changed from plain english to austrailian? Why did that have to be, it' not like he has to have this accent, he can be whatever nationality he dang wants, truth, FREEDOM,

I loved those. Those were my favorite types of commercials.

The only good about the Caveman commericials is that they're how I found out about Royksopp. (they made that song that's in the background of a few of the commericals)

The "Good News" commercials were BEST WIN though.

The cavemen gave the illusion of cleverness at first. Then they quickly became irritating. I want those "Good News" commercials back. I also want to strangle the gecko.

As for the caveman sitcom... just the concept of it makes innocent children catch on fire.

"And remember: no one can do what Countrywide can." It's not that line that gets me, but how they have to put those commercials on EVERY FREAKIN' CHANNEL (even little kids shows), and then they hardly ever change them out. I can't wait for that Countrywide dude to have a heart attack and die.

This quote is true on all counts.

The only caveman one I like is the first one, where the Geico guy is filming a commercial and says it, causing the Caveman (who is their sound guy) to scream "NOT COOL!" and storm off. That one was good. These other ones suck.

He actually has a Cockney/East London accent now. Before that he had a much more refined British English. The Queen's English, if you will.

AH I've been trying to find who did that song forever. Don't even like that kind of music, but its catchy.

He's referring to the Vitamin Water commercials.

I dunno, I think they're all right.

Almost every commercial break it shows a bottle of flavored water and some guy screams at you very loudly some ridiculous thing to do, then tells you to try Power water. I am so tired of those.

I don't mind the Vitamin Water commercials much.

This isn't exactly an ad that repeats over and over again like the Geico commercials, but I thought I'd mention it. Sometimes when I'm watching various shows on Adult Swim, I see this thing.

Egad.

Lawl, I've seen that. I think anyone who orders it should instead get a card that says "Lawl, go outside dork."

It's easy to make it so easy a caveman can do it.
But can they make it so easy a hamster can do it?
I'd like to see that.

Have you noticed how they put car insurance commercials on like, Nick Jr. and Playhouse Disney? Do they expect the little tots to be like: "Mommy! Mommy! Let's get Nationwide!"

No, they expect the parents to be watching with the kids.
