I'm having another little problem. When I get the prompt after typing "strongbad_email.exe" no matter what e-mail number i type in I always get the email for "invisibility" (#41 I believe). Is this a bug or have you just not gotten around to putting other e-mails in the beta?

Email 41 is the only email accessible in the beta version. I'm still working on the engine for the emails.

Hmmm....For some reason, it doesnt work on my Windows XP. It come up with the error message:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CMD.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS Dos and Mcrosoft Windows applictations. Choose 'CLOSE' to terminate the application.

And then buttons for: CLOSE and IGNORE

Did you extract the files from the ZIP? If you did, extract them again onto your cd drive and type "CHDIR C:" then type run COMPY386DEMO.EXE

When you double click "run.bat", instead type cd.. about 3 times and then type run.bat and it should load up. Hope you didnt rename the COMPY386DEMO.exe or it wont work.

Oh sorry, I should have been more clear on my problem. When I click on the run.bat, it gives me that error message and I have to quit out. I cant even type anything in the DOS window.

Can you send me a screen shot of the error?

Just press print screen, open Paint, save it as a JPG, upload it to http://www.uploadimages.net and put the picture in the thread.

Have you also tried running COMPY386DEMO.exe without run.bat?

Are you running Service Pack 2?

If so, try right clicking on COMPY386DEMO.exe, go to the compatibility tab. Check run this application in compatibility mode Windows 95 or 98. Click apply then OK.

for those of you who keep asking about having images in the program, your in luck! You can do nearly anything with QBASIC. Dispite what people have been saying, you could even recreate "Peasent's Quest".
Do a few searches on Google and you can find a Bitmap loader, tons of graphical mario games, tutorials, anything.

I reccommend Vic's programming tutors for anyone wanting to learn more about graphics in QB.
