Apparently it comes out for America tomorrow.

I just saw it. IT. WAS. AWESOME! Anyone else seeing it?

It came out in Canada on the third (today or yesterday depending on where you live). I'm going to go see it on Friday or Saturday; I'm oozing with excitement.

Atleast I hopes that's excitement.

I Heard the voice acting sucked.

Big question on everyones minds: Did anyone in the film say "Do a Barrel Roll" or "these pretzels are making me thirsty"?

Exactly what I came to this thread to ask.

From what I heard is that those two were removed on suspicion of cheating.

...So in the end, the one that ended up being used it "Transform and roll out!"

For real now.

Why would anyone vote for that? He would have said that whether it was voted for or not.

I saws it yesterday, and it ruled

I was in fact disappointed not to hear "do a barrel roll", but I did hear that Transform and roll out somewhere in the mix. The voice acting was actually pretty good, the only off part is that there is some weird thing moving behind their "lips" and in their mouth that's not a tongue, it's like some sort of chainmail looking stuff that kept distracting me >.>

Ah well, rocking awesome movie all the same :p

Holly saw Transformers last night.
She was talking to me about it and proceeded to list things in the theatre that were more interesting than the movie.
Some of those things included:
* Her shoelaces
* "How many ceiling tiles are there?"
* "How many ice cubes are in my soda?"
* The strange noise the A/C was making
* The weird hair clip thingy the girl in front of her was wearing.

Yeah, she didn't like it. She didn't hate it either. It totally bored her.

Well, yeah. She's a girl man. What do you expect?

I'm going to see it just for the graphics. The plots probably going to be crap, but who cares? GOOD GRAPHICS!

She loved Die Hard.

Tell me you're kidding. There's a lot more to a movie than good special effects. Didn't you learn anything from the 2nd and 3rd Matrix movies? :-P

I know theres a lot more to movies then the Special Effects. That's why I'm not expecting much from Transformers. Bad plot, good graphics. Graphics don't make up for the plot, but at least it looks cool.

Oh, come on!

Episode One: "I'm only 9 and a half years old, but I'm going to totally flirt with this really hot politician girl nearly twice my age."

Episode Two: "Yes, chicks are TOTALLY impressed with creepiness!"

Episode Three: "Oh No! What do I do? Do I side with Master Windu or Palpatine? Oh, well. Think I'll run out and slaughter a bunch of babies now."

All of that is true, except for the first one. He may be nine and a half, but he looks like he's six.

I'm not saying it's implausible that they would eventually hook up. (When I was 23, I dated a woman who was 33). But at that age, I'd think he'd be more like, "EWWWW GIRLS!! COOTIES!! GERMS!!! BLECCHH!!"

Lol, Jigglypuff.

Star Wars 1, 2, and 3, were all indeed epic phail.
The first one- don't know where to even start
The second one- Anakin goes all emocional and sensitive
The third one- The acting was horrible and General Grievous was a bad villain.

So yeah. *Ahem* Transformers.

I thought it was a blast. Hands down the best movie this summer. After the letdown of Pirates 3, it was nice to go to a movie, not have to worry about the plot, sit back, and watch two and a half hours of giant robots kicking each other's butts. Don't go expecting great acting (exept from Shia LaBeouf...he was pretty sweet), go expecting two and a half hours of giant robots kicking each other's butts. It's a perfect explosion-riddled popcorn flick. And really awesome. And surprisingly very funny. I'll probably go again.

I just saw it. The only thing I didn't like were some of the voices of the robots. Everything else was beastly and amazing.

I've got to agree with Holly. I saw it yesterday and it was.... really pertty terrible. The robots were super-cool. The voice acting was great (uh, Peter Cullen and Hugo Weaving, people!). The action scenes were fun, if hard to follow. Shia LaBeouf was decent enough, and Megan Fox was nice to look at. And with that, I've run out of things to praise.

I can see what Michael Bay was trying to do, and I have some admiration for that. He was trying hard to recapture the fun and awesome feel of the original series (and the comics), but I think he tried too hard. I'm not one of those people who think he "ruined my childhood" or anything. I think he treated the characters respectfully. He just happened to do it in a terrible movie.

I would write more, but I'm trying to do too many things at once just now. But Roxy and I both left the theatre wishing we had skipped it.

Die Hard was awesome, by the way.

What's the movie Die Hard even about? It just sounds like a guy having a heart attack while watching porn.

What, were you living under a rock between 1988 and 1995?

....and why do I get the feeling that your answer is going to make me feel really, really old?

Probably.
I was three years old in 1995.
