This is a Broadway thread, or it could just be an in general theater thread. Post shows you've seen, shows you've been in, and the things you enjoyed about them. I myself live about 1 hour from NYC and my family is very theater oriented so I see musicals fairly often. On broadway I've seen Suessical, The Lion King, Monty Python's Spamalot, Curtains, The Apple Tree, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Drowsy Chaperone, Fiddeler on The Roof, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Little Shop Of Horrors, Hairspray, and The Producers. I have also been in A Christmas Carol, Into the Woods, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, High School Musical (ugh), and Joseph and his Amazing Techinicolor Dreamcoat. I will also be in Grease and Little Shop of Horrors by december. |

I've seen my fair share of plays, but my favorites have been by the high school I would've gone to. I really liked their rendition of Annie, and one of my best friends played Daddy Warbucks. |

I'm currently Jacob in Joseph. I only have one speaking line. But I'm onstage most of the time and there's a lot of mime acting. It's a fun part. |

Eh, Spamalot was good, but I expected less lines to be taken from the holy grail. It was pretty much the same thing except for the Lady Of The Lake and a couple of songs. |

Lessee...I was in theatre all four years in high school. Tech work: HOOK Les Mis Macbeth The Wiz Streuth The Matchmaker Noises Off (STAGE MANAGER FTW!) The Scarlet Pimpernel Acting: Into the Woods (Steward) Death Takes a Holiday (Eric Fenton) Outside of school, I've been in two plays with Breathing Arts Theatre; my favorite role was Gollum in "The Hobbit". Been to New York twice: -Phantom of the Opera (2) -Blue Man Group (2) -The Fantasticks (Wasn't the best show.) -Avenue Q -Spamalot (LOVED IT. I have the cast recording!) -RENT -Julius Caesar (Denzel Washington played Brutus. I got his autograph. )
-Inherit the Wind (Starring Christopher Plummer and Brian Dennehy) -WICKED -Les Mis (AWESOME REVIVAL CAST!) So yeah, I'm a total theatre nerd. Going to major in theatre when I start college this fall.

I've seen a couple of Broadway shows, mostly because my uncle has played some respectable roles in various plays over the past years. (He hasn't been on Broadway, New York, mostly musicals from local venues.) He's a magnificent actor, and really inspired my acting. I haven't been in a Broadway musical, but I did star as Prince John in "A Robin Hood Christmas"! Some of the plays I have seen are as follows: The Nutcracker, Les Miserables, The Little Shop of Horrors, Annie, The Sound of Music and Jesus Christ Superstar. (My sister and my dad also saw Hairspray in New York, I ended up hearing all about it.) Jesus Christ Superstar is several kinds of awesome meshed together into one cohesive bond of win! And I'm not even religious! |

I've seen The Lion King on Broadway. Absolutely breathtaking; their costums are amazing. I've seen Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, though not on Broadway. It's a good one, too. |

Um, I haven't seen anything on Broadway. But, I have seen Wicked and Les Mis. I've also been in a production of Les Mis, Fiddler on the Roof (Perchik), and Beauty and the Beast (Gaston). I'm going to be a music major in college. |

I dunno about the touring cast, but I saw Avenue Q with every original cast member except for John Tartaglia; Barrett Foa replaced him. Since it was a fundraiser week, you could meet the cast after the show. I shook Barrett's hand... he's gay. Totally. But he's in musical theatre; what do you expect?

I saw Annie last year in Buffalo. Pretty good show, that'un is. Anybody ever seen Blood Brothers? It's awesome. also, my school was the first ever school in the U.S to do a certain musical. |

Ooooh, now this is a thread! <3 I saw Man of La Mancha and Barnum at MacArthur High School. I saw The Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables at Dallas Summer Musicals. I saw Cats and Spamalot at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, TN. I saw Evita at the Harrell Theater in Collierville, TN. I saw Tarzan, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Wicked, The Drowsy Chaperone, and Avenue Q on Broadway. Finally, I was in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown (Snoopy) and Little Shop of Horrors (Wino, Mrs. Luce) at Bolton High School. To say that musicals are a hobby of mine would be a gross understatement.

I love Rocky Horror, but I hate it the way people like. I think the audience participation ruins it. I actually love the music and plot and stuff. |
