I enjoy Carmen, Gianni Schicchi, Pagliacci, Wozzeck, and parts of Wagner's Der Ring cycle. Mozart had some good moments, too.

Edit: Hurm...this seems to be my 1500th post. Good gracious, do I ever waste my time here!
