Longest: 18th Floor Balcony by Blue October at 11:01, though it's actually two songs with about two minutes of silence in between 'em. Shortest: Intro by Michelle Branch at 0:07 (I think). It connects immediately to the next song; it's only separated so you don't have to listen to it if you don't want to. So, yeah. Both of these probably shouldn't count

If we're counting live bootlegs I have a copy of Terry Riley's "In C" that breaks 90 minutes. If it's official/studio recordings only then the longest song I can think of off the top of my head is "Dopesmoker" by Sleep, which clocks in around the 65-minute mark. Actually I suppose "A Gingham Girl" by Soul Camel is longer still, being a hair under 80 minutes, but I've lost my copy of it Shortest song, I dunno. "Bulb" by Egg is only nine seconds long. Ivor Cutler has shorter stuff still but it's all spoken word bits I think |

I bought an album on iTunes last night. (Afterhours Ibiza:Deluxe edition) It came with 3 "continuous mixes". One of those is an hour and 15 minutes long. I guess that counts as my longest song. |

The shortest song that I own is The Theme From Dangereque II by Strong Bad (imagine that). The longest thing that I have in iTunes is Life is Worth Losing by George Carlin, and the longest song that I have is Free Bird, by Lynard Skynard. |

The shortest tracks (tied a 5 seconds) are speaking tracks from Blink-182's live album, but I won't count them. Its For Your Own Safety! by The Aquabats. 6 seconds. Longest is Forget by Farewell My Enemy at 37:38 with 35:25 of silence. |
