Who's excited?

I've been a huge Blizzard fan since I first played Warcraft II back in the late 90's. Starcraft was probably, and still is, one one of my favorite RTS's of all time, topped only my Warcraft III. I've been waiting for a new Starcraft ever since they announced Starcraft Ghost, supposedly to be released in 2003. I can seriously not wait for this game.

Holy... they've been talking about Starcraft 2 for like 10 years now, but I never thought they would actually get around to finishing it.

IMO, Starcraft is the best RTS game ever made. Even better than WC3... if just because Warcraft had a 90 unit limit (?) and everything required so much micromanagement.

Thanks for the link.

Just saw the screenshots at IGN!

Well, this means Duke Nukem lost competition for the Vaporware achievement award.

Seriously, this is gonna be great. I had good memories on Starcraft, and yeah, it was one of, if not THE best RTS ever.

I am pretty sure Starcraft 2 is not vaporware. To be vaporware it needs to be announced long before it is anywhere near being released, and be put off alot, etc etc.

This is the first time I've heard it announced.

That always happens, I've had to buy the expansion three times in my lifetime just because the disc wasnt in the case.

I hate moving.

I'd get this, but my computer is crap, and I doubt my laptop will support it.

And no console version? Dag. though I might be getting a new computer :)

Speaking of Starcraft, we should start having some Original SC matches online.

Finding a copy of Starcraft, legally or.. otherwise.. is now of high priority. It'd be awesome to get some games in against youse guys. And wadda coincidence, the past week I've started home network Warcraft II games with my friends again.

Blizzard just knows what they're doing. Some of their games are less fun than others, but none of them suck. Basically, no matter what happens Starcraft 2 will not suck. It must be awesome to be them.

Also, I wouldnt mind facing you guys on original. Every other weekend, I'm at my dad's house. My screen name is Dndrhead. My dad's is earthling.

Uh, on the toastpaint side...

I saw the trailer. Looks GREAT. I've been anticipating. The only thing is...They changed the units. Oh well. I STILL CAN'T WAIT. The campaign is the first thing i'll play. So I can get used to the feel. The graphics are going to be OH MY GOSH GREAT!!!!!

Well, if the original Starcraft is really good enough to play 10 years after release, maybe I'll have to get a copy.

Yes, yes it is. Starcraft is a fantastic game that has taken weeks and months of my life over the past 10 years. Blizzard is the best video game company out there. I've spent more time playing their games (Warcraft II, Starcraft, Diablo 1 and 2, and World of Warcraft) than doing any one thing except sleep (probably) over the past decade.

Ehh... I wouldn't say Blizzard is the best video game company. I mean, if it took them this long for SC2, I kinda wonder what the heck they have been doing since Warcraft 3's expansion came out...Yes, I know, WoW and the Burning Crusade, but still.

But still what? WoW has been a massive undertaking. It's not like they wrote a program and were done with it. They've been making patches and working on the expansion since they shipped the first version.

I highly doubt they've been sitting on their butts doing nothing lately.
