Post subject:  NBA Playoffs

Is anybody else out there following the NBA playoffs this year? I'm a Jazz fan so I'm stoked about how things are going. I think the Jazz are going to finish the Warriors off in 5 or 6 games, which is absolutely crazy. This is the first time they've been in the Playoffs in years. How are your teams doing? Any heartbroken Mavs fans out there? :D

First playoff series win for the Jazz since 2000. First road playoff win in years, too.

Looked great against Golden State last night. Deron is amazing... can't believe he's only a second year guy. Where he'll be in 5 years is incredible.

No one is going to stop San Antonio. The only team that could was Dallas and they are gone. No one in the Eastern Conference has a prayer. After a few years of improvement, it's back to being the NBA's red-headed step child.

I am a Rockets fan, so needless to say I'm dissapointed. I want Phoenix to come out of the west and Detroit to come out of the east and Detroit to win the whole thing.

Phoenix needs to figure out a way to stop San Antonio first. The Spurs are the only team in the NBA that can consistently take Phoenix out of their game plan. It would take a miracle to beat the Spurs.

If I could just derail this for a sec here, I've always wondered why Utah kept the name "Jazz". I mean, it made sense in New Orleans, obviously. But it seems incredibly out of place in Utah.

As for the playoffs, I don't follow basketball, and even if I did I'd root for the Celtics, which, as you know, has become a joke in recent years.

Too true. My grandparents used to live in San Antonio, and since then, we've all become Spurs fans. :D

Happens a lot. The Lakers make no sense in LA. They were named that in Minnesota because of the Great Lakes and then kept the name when they moved.

I consider myself a Spurs fan, so I am rooting for them to take down the Suns. Especially since I have a bet riding on it with a kid at my school (who I call Potato Face).

Not to completely overlook the Warriors, but the Jazz match up much better against the Suns than the Spurs. They seem pretty comfortable playing teams that run like the Suns, the Warriors, and the Raptors.

However, I don't think Phoenix has a prayer against the Spurs.

I'm surprised no one said anything about the Bulls. I'm sure they'll lose this second round, but if they were able to take out the Heat, I'm satisfied.

We're not going down without a fight. Losing by 2 points in the last 2 seconds of 2nd overtime means we get a do-over.

LeBron and his one-man team can eat it. Pistons make basketball basketball.

No, they make basketball boring. They are one of the most boring teams that I have ever seen. I want to see the Pistons lose. I can't stand the thought of having another Spurs-Pistons Series.

Well, it looks like King James has a date in San Antonio. Cleveland just sent Detroit packing...big time.

I'm rootin for the Spurs all the way. :) They beat the Jazz easily enough, they should beat Cleveland with their superstar.

Well, Pistons are out of it again. Whenever I start seriously watching the Pistons, they start to fall apart.

No, LeBron actually has a good four man team going: him and three refs...

Worst. Finals. Ever.

What an ugly series.

Thank you San Antonio for beating everyone with your incredibly efficient and incredibly crappy to watch style of play.
