No, that would be this. Or possibly this. Maybe this. But as anti-lulzy-enough-to-be-lulzy as that comic is, it's not the best thing ever conceived by the northeast.

:P

Sorry folks. But I can't lie; that comic bores me half to death.

W-were you talking about C&H?

I think she was referring to Pearls Before Swine.

Incidentally, for those of you who didn't figure out what I meant, Bill Waterson quit drawing Calvin & Hobbes on Dec 31, 1995.

ZIGGY!

Thats the main reason I suggested ziggy mutilations in the garfield mutitalitions thread (which should win the award for best thread, in my opinion) IT SUCKS SO BAD!

U.S. Acres is pure suck though, you have to admit.

Ya, but that is normal, that's what fans want anyway. With the John/Liz thing he followed that horrible Garfield movie!

I can't speak for the rest of "the fans", but I'd rather have actual funny content instead of loads of merchandise.

Frikkin' sellout.

no, no joe, not just the northeast...Moodus, Connecticut. It scarcely exists except for a few hicks with their tractors, a couple of people who think it's "rustic" to live in Connecticut, and then some people who would probably date their own sister.

I don't really like Garfield either. It seems to me that it runs on this plan:

1. Dry Talking
2. Bad pun, cliche or fan service
3. ???
4. Humor

You can make Garfield better by editing out Garfield's speech bubbles.

Hagar the Horrible is bad, but it didnt used to be, or so Im told. Zippy is flat out the worst cartoon I have ever had the displeasure of reading. Pearls before Swine is nice, but I dont understand its extreme popularity. Beetle Bailey isnt that good either, but the old ones make me laugh.

600 post!

Everyone on the Internet is already quite aware of this, but yes, you can. Well, it's funny for a while. Not so much after seeing a couple hundred. :p

Eh, the most I've seen is about 20. I'm only modestly web-savvy, having only been surfing about for some three years or so.

Actually, it works much better if you create your own random Garfield dialog.

I don't see any humor in that comic whatsoever. I see [s]dead people[/s] pure randomness and lines that don't even qualify for a comic. I read the Wikipedia article and it said that the website has a tutorial for understanding Zippy. I don't even want to understand...

From what little I've seen of it, Zippy is a comic strip that's supposed to look like it was written by a psychopathic pedophile on steroids.

Indeed I was. I just didn't feel like using the quote button. Calvin and Hobbes = pure unadulterated love.

Personally, I don't know. I like reading it, though. I mean, I LIKED to, before my parents canceled their subscription to Chicago Tribune. Now we only have the crappy ones in the Southside newspapes.

Still, though, I kind of liked it. Much like my enjoyment for Dilbert.

Post subject:

Okay. I read three (non-web) comics:
Dilbert
Doonsebury
Calvin and Hobbes

I think all the other comics available to me are awful. But the worst? Probably a stupid local comic called "Footrot Flats" which revolves around tractors and stereotypes.

I hate all the serious comics with fancy artwork that look awesome but you just can't start reading because the stories go on for months and you eventually just stop checking to see if they started a new one.

Dick Tracy and this other one about King Arthur or something.

Argh, I HATE Shoe. All it is seems like Mallard Fillmore, but he's fat, 30 years older, and instead critiques plays..or somjething...

and those serious ones are for people who can't find work in a graphic novel.

WHAT.

That's the first time I've heard of any newspaper doing that.

What manga does it have, anyway?

It's called "Mail Order Ninja" and from what I've seen of it it's a steaming pile of pseudo-Japanese horse rule 6.
