emo kids who all look the same are just lame. and trying to be nonconformist by looking like everyone else is dumb (just like sticking it to the man by shopping at hot topic). and whining isn't going to get you any friends. when emo kids dress more normally and don't whine, then i have no problem with 'em. |

I've been fairly tolerant of the whole emo movement, it's never really been a big deal to me. I don't really care how other people dress or whatever, though I do find the jokes and "stereotypes" hilarious. The only thing that has kinda bothered me is the logic behind some people these days. I don't think this is only "emo's" (just to simplify things) fault, but a lot of the negative stuff comes from them. People are such babies about bands going mainstream and selling out. Some people refuse to listen to stuff anymore if it's too mainstream and because they're "too hardcore". It's pretty insulting and annoying when you mention what you listen to and they're like "SUX!", that's all. What ever happened to listening to music because it sounds good? I don't care what's happening behind the scenes. Some people think it's a fad but as long as P2P downloading services exist, people are gonna be exposed to some pretty obscure bands which will in turn continue to influence people. The only thing that will destroy this fad is if enough adults start liking screamo and dressing like it... then it will officially be uncool. |

I think emo kids prefer the term "scene" now. All my emo friends were suddenly scene one day and I got really confused. I'm fine with the whole scene/emo movement, but I hate it when they start stepping on rudie space. Checkers are a rudie thing, but every scene kid that can get to a D-Tox has a checkered wrist band and a checkered belt. If you see one of these people, tell them to 'Pick it up, pick it up' or GTFO. |

I think I just peed myself from laughing so hard. Anyone notice how most emo bands just sound like Justing Timberlake with guitars? |

ARGH. |
