I don't like Sonic all that much. Mario is okay.... But it just sounds too weird.

I like both series', but sonic a little bit more, because I like platformer games. Mario is becoming a little too gimmicky, releasing games just for the sake of releasing games, without any storylines. Seriously, bowser tires to kill mario every now and then, but then the next day, they are playing tennis, golf, soccer, basketball, or racing each other. Sonic has at least remained (for the most part) true to it's roots, having a new good platform game every year or so, with few gimmicky spin-offs.

I personally find sonic games to be more fun than mario games, but that is a matter of taste.

The main problem with this new game is that it will totally have to distort the characters in order to make it even. Seriously, how dumb would it be for mario to beat sonic in a running race?

If you actually read anything in this topic, you'll see that we're not discussing the Olympic games, but the upcoming video game featuring Mario and Sonic in the Olympics.

He knows that. He was joking. He was saying that he wished that mario and sonic would be in the olympics in real life.
