What songs do you want to see in GH3? I really wanna see The White Stripes. Like Blue Orchid or something. But what about you?

I'd like to see "Yahoos and Triangles" (also known as the theme song to King of the Hill) by the Refreshments.

Maybe another song by Buckethead.

Definitely some Guns N Roses, Metallica, and maybe something from Brother Cane (something like Kerosene)..

Definitely more "classic rock"... Hendrix and/or Santana would be nice.

That would be extremely awesome. and of course, they need another Made In Mexico, or a short version of a Mars Volta song. Something funky.

If Suicidal Tendencies was in Guitar Hero II, I wanna see Black Flag. Heh, I wonder how well a Greg Ginn solo would translate into Guitar Hero.

But for like serious shredz 'n' stuff, I would love to have Municipal Waste in III.

It's been announced, but it's not coming out until next year. Since Guitar Hero II only just came out.

I want to see some Metallica, some Pink Floyd, maybe some Who. They also need to come out with Bass Hero. Bass Players need love too.

It would be kinda cool if there was a make your own song mode. Then, maybe you could send the song to your friends, and challenge others to beat it.

Or not.

They could make a game using nothing but Primus. :-D

20 seconds of song wouldn't be very thrilling.

I would definatly buy the game if they had Beatles, TMBG, and The Who. Like they're ever going to get the copyright permission, though.

Some main songs:
My Sharona - The Knack (if not only for the bridge)
    Some JET, maybe?
    Enter Sandman - Metallica
    Mama Kin - Aerosmith
While My Guitar Gently Weeps or Helter Skelter (or both, or the whole Beatles collection) - The Beatles
    Song 2 - Blurr
    Peace of Mind - Boston
    Already Gone - Eagles
Free Ride - Edgar Winter Group
Feel Like Making Love - Bad Company
    All Right Now - Free
    Gimmie Shelter - Rolling Stones
    Superstition - Stevie Wonder
'Cause We've Ended As Lovers - Jeff Beck (how awesome would it be to play this?)
Texas Flood - Stevie Ray Vaughn
Come And Get It - Judas Priest
    Stranglehold - Ted Nugent
Ramblin' Man - Allman Brothers Band
    25 or 6 to 4 - Chicago
2 Minutes to Midnight - Iron Maiden
Layla - Derek and the Dominos
All Along the Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix
American Girl - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Johnny B. Goode - Chuck Berry
Heartbreaker - Led Zeppelin (the final song-- screw Stairway to Heaven)
Eruption - Van Halen (or should this be the final song?)

Bonus Songs (or, songs you've never heard of)

One would be a much better choice and it would be a good final some.

How about Voodoo Child? That intro alone will cause headaches

I would also add either Time or Another Brick in the Wall by Pink Floyd and Paranoid by Black Sabbath. Sabbath made an appearance on GH1 and GH2, why not GH3?

I meant the album version. On the other hand, they already had Trogdor in GH II, another TBC song in GH III would probably be a bit too much.

VooDoo Chile (Slight Return) by Jimi Hendrix.
It would be cool if they used the Kenny Wayne Sheppard version, because it's nothing but the Guitar part with several Solo's in between, and it's 9 minutes long, so its awesome.

Pat Benatar's Heartbreaker would be a great song..
Firebird's got a pretty good list there. I really like the Nugent. Stranglehold is a good one, but I think Motor City Mad House or Great White Buffalo would be good songs.

Ooooh, snap, it was. I don't own GH1, and I was just rummaging through iTunes.

Oh, I got it:

Smooth Criminal by Alien Ant Farm.

(Or Joker and the Thief by Wolfmother.)

I think something by Bush would be a great addition.
Glycerine comes to mind, but it's not really one of those "Guitar God" songs. Then again, neither is Jessica by the Allman Brothers (even though Dwayne Allman is to music what Chuck Norris is to the roundhouse kick).

Or they could just put the original Michael Jackson version in.

Random Idea: Why don't they just make a "Hendrix Hero" game...

They could put in the ones everyone knows (Voodoo Chile, Purple Haze, All Along the Watchtower) as well as some challenging, but slower songs (Red House, Hey Joe, and Castles Made of Sand).

Just about anything from Skillet.

Collide
Energy
Alien Youth
I Can
Falling Inside the Black
Savior
Forsaken
Imperfection
Rebirthing

And probably a huge number of others.

Project 86:

Spy Hunter
Shadow on Me
Safe Haven
Your Heroes Are Dead
Shelter Me

And any Metroid Metal song would be totally ninja.

That would be a great Idea. Unfortunately, Unless you can convince Janie Hendrix to allow the rights to her brothers songs to a video-game company, someone should just make a mod and songs for Frets on Fire.

i'd like to see Black Flag the most, that would be awesome. I honestly don't think "classic rock" needs much more GH love, i think they've covered that pretty well in a lot of cases. I would love to see a few more esoteric bands, but still people who rock hard. Ted Leo would be nice. Also, he's pretty weird, but I'd love to see some Beck songs.

Awaken Mustakrakish by Dethklok.

That would be a great bonus track. Any Dethklok song would be.

The song "Thunderhorse" is on GH2. And it's quite a song.
