Ok, it's never funny when someone gets shot in the head (unless that someone is Hitler and he shoots himself in the head while cleaning a gun that he loudly proclaims is unloaded), but I did find it a bit hard to not chuckle when the guy goes "Who is in charge?" then shoots Milo when he stands up. I really wish I could say that an assault on CTU was a surprise, but after last season, I kind of figured that they'd have to do something like that again. So, there are, what, 3 more episodes left? That means Fox'll probably do 1 episode next week, then have a 2-hour finale the next week. |

It's always concerning when the crisis at the end of a season ends half an hour early... EDIT: Well, I jumped to a conclusion too early. That was a good way to wrap up the season, in my opinion. It's a good change from the cliffhanger end of last season. |

Couple of thoughts: Chloe = Pregnant was funny. (Chloe: "I'm pregnant", Morris: "you mean, with child?", Chloe: "Well, that's usually how it works".) Of course, if the baby belongs to Morris, one can only imagine the issues that kid's gonna have (Chloe's psychosis + Morris' attitude and alcoholism don't bode well for the kid). Jack's dad isn't dead (we didn't see him die). The circuit board wasn't destroyed (Jack's dad had it with him, and he's still alive as far as we know)*. Jack loves Audrey. He may think he's going to let her go for good, but the question is: "Is she ready to let HIM go?". The ending of this season was a lot less "cliffhanger" than the last 2. Season before last, Jack "died" and disappeared. Last season, he gets kidnapped by the Chinese. This season, he walks out onto the porch and cries. Hmm... *watching Lost has made me watch shows like 24 a lot more closely and to never believe someone is dead until (and, in some cases, even if) we see them die. |

It'd be hard for him not to die - the platfrom was shot with multiple missles, he didn't have much time, and he was wounded. If he wasn't kileld by the missiles, he could've easily been killed due to loss of blood - how would he get to shore? Though it seems like Cheng giving him the circut board would have been an unnessecary add-on to the show if he didn't die, so you may be right This isn't the first time the season ended with Jack pretty much just crying. Happened in season three, too. I'm surprised how long that last scene was, not sure if there's ever been one that long. |

There was the boat that was supposed to take them to the submarine. Chang gave Jack's dad the circuit board* and told him to get to the boat. That's what he was trying to do when the nephew shot him. It seemed very convenient. My guess is that the circuit board is going to come into play next season. *If tonight hadn't been the last night, I would have thought it was a fake and that Chang had the real one (he might still have it, anyway). |
