I've actually had a dream about the next update. I got up and went to see if there really was one, but no go.

Hope TBC is ok.

they update on monday though... it isn't monday yet... and i won't start being shocked until next monday... then i'll probly do something drastic if there isn't an update by then. i should start planning out what crazy thing i'm gonna do because there wasn't an update, just in case.

i know, i should organize some kinda get well soon card thing for them if they don't update... or a "we miss you and hope you are okay" sorta thing... but not until a week from this monday...

A get well soon card? That's going a bit over the top.

Just as much over the top as thinking that TBC don't care about their fans.

Quid quo pro. I hope I'm using that correctly.

welll, it's better than sending something like "Geez, where's the friggen toon? What the heck is going on???"

Nah, it would take a pretty big delay to motivate me to do anything like that. I wouldn't bet on it.

I hope they are making a HUGE toon, like a whole movie, an hour long...and a TGS gun.

If it takes about one week to make a 3-4 minute toon (we'll go ahead and say they could probably pull off a 5 minute toon in a week)... after 4 weeks you could, theoretically, make a 20 minute cartoon. Their month long absence could result in a half hour treat. Or not.

Whatever. lol. Who knows. But think about this... what if... IF MAN IF!!!.... what if... TBC did not return for several months. And they came back and said it was just a vacation! lol.

The server being slow has got me thinking. Can't be because of all the people checking to see if there's updates. I would think the entire homestar universe checking on mondays and downloading the new Xmb swf file would be a lot more than the entire homestar universe checking every so often to see if there's an update and then going somewhere else.

Like I said, if it was a true technical server problem that kind of thing can be fixed in a matter of days. They could even ditch their company and get a new one within 72 hours if they wanted to. TBC definately has the necessary h*r.com files on their computers to reupload to a new server. But maybe there's some kind of politicing going on with TBC and their server or domain company that's holding things up.

The server just shouldn't be this slow.

i noticed that as well... i think we can pretty much establish that it is a FACT that the sight is slower than usual, no?

It would suck if this month-long haitus is the result of a technical or legal problem associated with their hosting company and server... because then they defeinitely wouldn't have made any new material most likely and when they return we'd just have to pick up where we left off. But yes, I HAVE noticed the slowing of the server. Took forever just to load the main page today and even longer for the weekly update content (button etc.) to load.

I hope they're just either on a break or working on something awesome and different (or both!).

3. The Brothers Chaps died.
4. They are being held hostage by "Coolio De Fablio" for making fun of his name.
5. They ran out of ideas.
6. They both got sick, and are trying to rest it off.
7. They moved.
8. Their computer exploded.
9. They got jobs (not likely).
10. They stopped doing it (REALLY not likely, because they would work on a fairwell toon)
11. They are working on a fairwell toon (maybe).
12. They hate us.
13. They took the money from sales of merchendise and fled to Moscow.
14. Someone annoyed them too much (considering the previous annoyances, not likely)
15. The site was updated, but it then undid it.
16. Homestarrunner is getting a new look.
17. They are waiting for new emails (IMPOSSIBLE).
18. They quantum tunneled to the center of the earth (more likely than item 17).
19. Strong bad got feed up with emails.
20. We need to get a life.
21. All of the above.

Suggest your theories!

The short version of my take:

Extremely likely: 1, 20
Certainly worth speculating about: 16, 19
Faintly possible but highly doubtful: 2, 7, 8, 11
Most exobably not: the rest

Well, duh!

For all we know they could come out this Monday with the longest H*R toon they've ever made. Like a half hour toon... or something.

Oh yeah... For got to put those down...

I think TBC have gotten so many store orders that they don't have time to update the site; that's probably why some peoples' orders are taking so long.

Nah, it's taking so long because people live so far away.

If I ordered a shirt right now, I guarantee it would arrive by Tuesday.

Well they updated... so I officially kibash this thread.

And I was right, it isn't anything big or special... it's not even really that good. I bet they spent about a day on it too. You can even see strong bad's head reflecting on the wall in the last scene... I mean, geez

*The brothers Chaps pulled a Sam T & the force is no longer with them untill they get new working hardware.

*They pulled an Anne Rice & lost their writing tallent. (let's hope not)

*They aren't getting along with eachother. (worst case scenario)

*Hospitalization. ('nother worst-caser)

*My last email infected them with extreame laziness.

*They've been kidnapped by a pack of north Korean animators & forced to help them work on the new Clerks animated movie.

*Aliens finally abducted someone unretarded.

I'm pretty annoyed they didn't say anything about their absence. I mean, it's only polite... "Nothing Else!" was just being mean.

Heh. It won't load for me. I think they took it down to fix something in the toon that was wrong.

I'm also kind of dissapointed. Just a sbemail... although not entirely unexpected. I kind of half-expected just a sbemail... but I was hoping for ya know, something awesome after a month. Guess it was really just a vacation. The NOTHING ELSE button is kind of mean! If you think of it in a way like... Oh, after all the emails that people sent to them about their vacation (or maybe after reading this thread), they just decided to shout out NOTHING ELSE! SBEmail is ALLLL you get!....

However, I think that after a month, there was no other real announcements. And since the buttons switch from one to another... and there was nothing else... they just put nothing else. So they'd switch back and forth and not just have a stationary SBEmail button. In all truthfulness, I bet TBC just took their vacation and ignored ALL fan-related feedback about it. No reading the boards, no reading any of that e-mail... probably just looked for a strongbad email after the month and now they're back. Eh well. Hopefully this toon will start working for me soon. lol.

I was really hoping ya know, after like 4months, we'd get Level 10 of Stinkoman 20x6. :(

I Dunno we always knew they were going to come back soon enough... it just seems rude to rub it in our faces by saying there's "nothing else".

Perhaps. But there's no reason to really make a big deal out of it. TBC are back! The good times are defenitely NOT over!
