ok, we all know that its decemberween. but is decemberween christmas, or a separate holiday? should i be celebrating both christmas and decemberween, or is decemberween just another name? is this a chance to get DOUBLE PRESENTS?

please reply...

Decemberween is most definitely a parody of Christmas. "Fifty-five days after halloween" means it would fall on the 25th. It's possible they call it that to avoid calling it "Christmas", or maybe it's just to be funny.
You can try the double-presents thing, but it didn't work for me...

Yes. This topic is for discussion of Decemberween in the real world and how we can celebrate it.

I called Christmas Decemberween all through yesterday :) .

Decmberween is a holiday celebrated on December 25th that commemorates the gift-giving spirit and consumerism. It has no religious significance. So there.

Merry Decemberween - it just sounds better than the common alternative phrase that is so often heard around these times each year. Also - it is WAY more palitically correct - and I hate "happy holidays".

:-)

I totally wish that was a real holiday.
But for that to happen, we'll have to have world peace first.

nono....not real....i have a problem with that phrase because kwanza isnt religious its heritage oriented. and wheres ramadan?

yes, decemberween is much better, because its just a december holiday. so either its a holiday that falls on christmas, or its christmas...under...like...a psuedonim(sp)...

Me, too. That's about the only way it can be celebrated.
