Head over to the post office, and tell them that you want to send a money order. Have Joey's address ready, and they should be able to help you out there.

Can I just put it in the mailbox like ZI usualyl do? The mail guy picks it up,

Well, you can do that, but sending cash in the mail is inherently risky. A money order will cost you less than a dollar, and in my opinion it's worth it.
