i think there should be a "create your own cartoon" thing somehow

well i dont know about it being on hsr.net but i really think (somewhere, perhaps the wiki) should have a chronological order of all the things on hsr! I know when i started watching them i didnt understand the inside jokes, running gags and stuff and it would have really helped to know which toons and/or games went between which sbemails and everything else! i think this would be highly useful!

Many decisions have been made, but there is still some ongoing discussion in the #hrnet channel on Freenode IRC. We're currently working behind the scenes. I don't know when it will be live, though. I don't have a lot of time to work on it, but I hope to release it before the end of the year.

maybe since this site is growing in popularity, you guy(or gals) can advertise, not with pop ups but banners, It would fetch some good money for the bandwidth and such.

That would be good, but.....

Legally, we can't. The only way to raise money is by donations.

Don't know how Stu sees that but it would come under Fair Use in the copyright section. Although I don't think Joey really wants to put advertising on the site.

Quite simply, selling things wouldn't be "non-commercial use."

We play the fair use card a lot, and we generally walk along a very, very fine line. Selling things, especially advertising space, would definitely move us way over that line.

I agree, except there is one kind of ad that is good: Google ads. As you know, they have ads that relate to nthe website that they're on. No ads is better, but if it helps, I don't think many people would mind with google ads.

Google ads are still ads. We'd still be selling something, which as I said puts us way over the fine line we walk.

What he';s saying is we couldn't sell any products. We could sell ad space, but nobody lieks ads, and he doesn't want to make visotors annoyed.

I think what he's saying is that we can't sell anything.

Please don't bump topics just to reiterate what someone had said a month ago.

But now that we're here... how about we here a progress report? How much longer should this thing take? Or did you guys forget all about it?

For a while you could keep up with it at {removed} . I don't think it's been updated since at least early November though. Now I think it's at {removed} , but it isn't open to the public.

What was wrong with those links? The first was inactive and the second was password protected.

Ah well, I got to see them, so them being removed doesn't bother me.

But it was inactive, as in nothing had happened there in over a month.
