Because I use a high resolution display, and I don't like viewing the h*r flash files directly, and because I was bored, I built the following: H*R High Res Viewer. |

Or you could just use the Full-Screen HomestarRunner.com user script for Greasemonkey. (And that way it snaps to the size of your browser window, rather than being fixed to whatever resolution yours is set to.)
You remind me why I should create a Shameless Plugs and Self-Promotions sticky. P.S. Your viewer seems to break the What's New and Q/F/S buttons. |

Excellent. Your solution is best for me, and my solution is best for people not cool enough to be running a mozilla-derived browser or who are unable to install extentions. The "What's New" issue is one of the problems with not actually being on the real page. I'm not sure if it can be fixed. |

put the tag Code: <base href="http://www.homestarrunner.com/"> on the page, that should fix the "what's new" buttons. However it will break the links between pages. Easy come, easy go.
[edit] Or you could make the cgi script respond to requests for "newbutton.swf" and "homepages.swf" with Location: redirects to the real site. Also, your page doesn't work in IE, you only changed the <EMBED> URL, not the <OBJECT> URL. |

If you're using Opera, you can just ctrl+scroll wheel until the toon fits your screen. The page remains at this zoom level when you click links. I'm not certain what the zoom controls are in other browsers, though. |

But will that make the whole toon bigger? Or just zoom in and remain the same size? |

You can also ctrl+scroll wheel click on any non-swf area to revert to normal zoom level. |

You know... I'm really happy I don't need to deal with this crap on a regular basis. Next I'm going to find out that IE 7 wants it's colors in #RRBBGG format. |

Um, everything wants its colors like that. Unless you're talking about websafe colors, in which case the answer is no. |
