It seems to me that the camera was designed for a lefty, since the side where the tape is stored seems to be on the left hand side...

any other opinion on this?

Well, the determining factor for righty/lefty is probably where the handle/hand strap is, rather than where you put the tape in. If anything, it's more convenient to put it in the left because you can do that while you're holding the camera, as opposed to having to set it down because your right hand is in the way.

And anyone who HAS to use their dominant hand for anything is a wimp. (just kiddin. I still insist on that and try to use both hands for stuff.)

My point is that no camera manufacturers make cameras like that.

That's pretty funny.

But TBC drew it. All well. No big deal.

Actually, you mioght be able to custom order a camera made for a lefty, so that's might be what happened.

The one in the Experimental Film is like that, too, with Strong Sad holding it in his left hand.

1)The Cheat's holding it with his right hand.

2) The lens is on the right side, so to put it over the left eye would mean putting it awkwardly off-center. Thus, it is put over the right eye, and so the right hand must be used to afford greater control (smaller radius between right hand and lens than left hand and lens).

I've got a camera built exactly like that. Lens and strap on the right, tape on the left. The strap goes over the hand holding it-it's made for righties.

Also, the Experimental Film cam is entirely different. The lens is centered, and it bears a handle protruding from its base. Therefore, it can be held in either hand; Strong Sad has merely chosen to use his left.
