I'm glad the wiki is back! I was worried for a secound!

Like stated in earlier post by mnay other people, if you do't want that to happen again, then please donate so we can get a better server.

This bandwidth issue is a huge problem.

This bandwidth issue is a huge problem. The entire future of the wiki is depending on more bandwidth. If we don't do something now, this wiki will be useless, only being up the first few hours of the month.

Maybe I'm over reacting.

You know, the admins are being nice about this, they could hold a funding drive and be all PBS about it (eg, the forum is up for an hour, then down for two until they meet their funding goal).. <Begins praying that never happens, and gets out checkbook at same time>

First few hours of the month?!? Your hours must be longer than mine, cus it's usually up the first few weeks of the month for me.. Are you travelling at close to the speed of light?

Yeah, you are. It's a free service. FREE! You pay nothing, so it's not like you can really complain, unless, of course, you made a donation, then you can complain away. Well, ok, so you can't complain away, but I guess you have a right to be disgruntled or something.

It's not so much a matter of "buying" more bandwidth. If that was the case, we would be all over it. Our host is simply limited to the bandwidth we are using (actually, he is waiting longer then he probably should when it comes to shutting us down.

You have to understand that we (the management) are concerned about this problem. But you also need to understand that we all have limited resources (time, money, etc...) that we can devote here. (for instance... the server that we are looking at that can handle our load, both bandwidth and server specs is going to cost more then 4 times what we are currently paying).

Verio, eh? It doesn't sound oo bad. but will it be able to host the Wiki, this forum and the Fansuff Wiki all at the same time? Because that seems like a lot of stress to put on a server.
