Based on facts already discussed in this thread, I'd give H*R a core age range of 10-25 year old viewers (which, if you think about it, is a very nice demographic [maybe that's why they're so successfull]). TOTPD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, that's the best demographic really, especially for selling stuff like T-shirts and figurines, etc. I wonder if the content of the site will continue to use 80's and 90's references, thus aiming to keep its current viewers, or if it will update to more current references to appeal to newer, younger viewers while older viewers grow out of it. Not that I'd grow out of it anyway. I don't grow out of anything, man. |

Homestar Runner will be long gone by the time 80's and 90's references become untimely. |

i think that if it were ever made to be a show like that, it would run sort of like 'veggie tales'. And that's quality productions right there. But i mean that in the sense that everyone can enjoy it. Kids are stupid, they won't recognize the humor but they're content with watching giant yellow pompoms and and king of towns all up and about. Mean while, the older ones would be entertained with the humorous wit they throw in. I think it would be rather successful. But they'd have to take some out. Like PP-CZ knife fight...And burninated peasants. Then they could all play 'Can you find the Cheat?' |

Kids are stupid. Hm. Somehow I find that deeply offensive. Anyways, I think that the 80s and 90s references will never get untimely because... to be 80s and 90s references they are already "untimely". That's what makes them 80s and 90s references and not just... references. Smart move for the Chappos there. It'll never go out of style. Oh and I just remembered another toon with innuendo: rampage, but I doubt any child young enough to be scarred by that wouldn't get it. Kind of surprised me though. |

WHAT THE?! That's inappropraite? So let me get this straight. The next time some little kid comes over and hits me on the head with a raddle and I say "Ow! Ow! One more" the kid's Mom will be all like, "AAARRGGGBBBLBBLL!!! How could you use that language in front of my kid??!!" |

I feel all Homestarrunner related stuff is pretty harmless. There is very little that could be called objectionable. I think its aimed at older kids and up, but people 20 years and older would possibly get the most out of it with all the references from the 80s and a bit earlier. The younglings wouldn't understand it as well and wouldn't find as much humor in it. I would probably rate it PG, but I don't think there is anything PG13 worthy, although I'm an Australian and we don't have that rating. |

I think it's rated G, but with refrences that only older people would know. Also the "crap," "sucks," and "freakin'" every so often, I'd say all audiences, but more PG. I picked #2 for that reason. Good thread topic by the way. EDIT: Definitly not PG-13. I think it's aimed all ages, but mostly older kids, pre-teens, and teens really like it a lot. Heck, I know older kids that like H*R. My brother likes H*R too, he's pretty young. And then there's my friend's social studies teacher who likes it. Yeah. All ages. ^_~ |

Homestar Runner is safe enough to be a children's saturday morning cartoon. |

I'm not sure, but I think she's saying it suggests masochism on the KoT's part |

It's the Poopsmith, the poopsmith, what-what, the poopsmith. If this thing became a children's saturday morning cartoon, some changes would have to be made. |

No. It's too crude in some places to be a kid's show (e.g. the sbemail with Ali & Ali's sister). But it's not hard-core-rude either. |

Well, as far as I'm confused, the only innuendo is in sisters. I really don't think the KoT thing was intended like that. |

My friends in Free Country USA a KID'S SHOW!!! what!? #1: Most jokes are too complex for any normal kid to find funny #2: The most commonly used word on that site is "crap"(remember Homestar Presents: Presents?) #3: Kids would get nightmares from seeing "cute little homsar" being crushed by a loudre, or however that's spelled I could go on with a list as long as my arm.... EDITATION: Kids who have heard of AC/DC would scare me. |

Okay, okay. More on point here, what is your definition of a kid anyway? Is it an age thing? Do you mean 0-18? 0-12? Or is it intelligence, iq? I mean, most people would consider me a kid (I'm 14) and I certainly enjoy homestar. I mean it's my life. |

There's a lot worse violence than that on Looney Toons, and Looney Toons is considered a kid's show. |

It's clear that H*R is for Generation Y, people born from about 1978 to 1994. If it were on TV, I'd rate it Y7 (C8 in Canada); I don't think anyone under that age would really "understand" it or even listen to what the characters are saying. Besides, H*R has its fair share of mild fantasy/comedic violence, which would certainly raise it from Y to Y7, and the Cold One references would definitely not make it Y. |

if you consider HR violent, let's all look at that great, educational show, POWER RANGERS>...ugh the fact that that is made for children bothers me...Don't get me wrong, i'm no fan of children, but What better way to promote violence than to watch spandex clad teenagers beat the crap out of poor, innocent, lost creatures...I says BAH |
