I'm not gonna take the time to explain Greasemonkey (Wired News digs it, and the Greasemonkey wiki has a nice Newbie guide and I will pierce the very internal organs of the first and all subsequent persons who ask "What's Greasemonkey?" without reading those pages first), but for those of you who use Firefox and have the Greasemonkey extension installed (or are about to install it), I just happened across this Greasemonkey script for HomestarRunner.com called "Homestar-Fullon" (homestar-fullon.user.js) that makes all toons on H*R.com fill the entire browser. It's like viewing the .swf file, but with those nice roundy edges we're used to and without the annoying stuff going on around the edges. I dig it. I hope yous do, too.

What's Grease Monkey?

Sorry, just had to do it. But that's really handy! We need someone to make one for the wiki... Let's think of some ideas.

Yeah, I downloaded all the Homestar Runner scripts for greasemonkey (that were on the site) back when I saw it on Tom's blog. The full-screen one is the best, though.

I wouldn't say "perfect", since, when you're viewing the .swf, unless you have the proportions exactly right you see stuff outside the edge of the frame.

Most toons are the same ratio as the screen, but it just looks messed up watching virus, flashback, or the toons menu or something, because they're all wider than normal.

When I look at virus, I see two versions of the same SBemail, right on top of each other.
Does this have anything to do with Greasemonkey?
Or is it just my compy?

Whoa, I never noticed that. Guess it happens to me, too. It might have something to do with how the navigation bar and toon are combined into one flash file, but the script expects two.

EDIT: In fact, it always duplicates the nav bar.

Is there a way to delete a script?

In Greasmonkey? Yeah, just go to Tools > Manage User Scripts, click on the one you don't want and click "Uninstall." Or just un-check "Enabled" if you just want to disable it for awhile.
