maybe one last cartoon to wrap things up, but i think the time has come to call it quits.

I read on a message board--and that's when I stopped going to these message boards to sort of read what the fans were saying. Somebody said, "Homestar Runner jumped the shark" and it's like... {momentarily shakes his head} It's me and my brother making cartoons for the internet in our apartment. We haven't "jumped the shark". That just doesn't even apply.

OMG guys! WTPF! Stop being so negative! I read this topic and I'm like "am I the only true H*R fan around here?" All you can do is hope and wish! I don't know about you guys. but I go onto the website and the wiki EVERYDAY! And I find out something new everyday that I never even knew about! Then again, i'm just a fourteen year old without many friends and spends all his free time on Facebook and H*R, and spends most of his conversations trying to jam in H*R quotes. But at least I give a care! And another thing. What about that Mac pop-up that's on the site? Even thought TBC hasn't come out with a toon, they're at least looking at the site, they haven't forgotten about it!

I fairly certain that nothing is seriously wrong with TBC [or their families], and so I don't think we need to worry about that.

I worry for the welfare of the show. I mean, there are still plenty of devout fans left out there, but the fanbase they already have isn't enough to make a good living, because the people who have been around forever have probably bought what they want to already. If they don't come out with new content, I worry that HR is gonna become old news that people don't suggest to their friends much anymore. I just feel like 4-5 months is an awfully long time to take a break without even really mentioning it one the site itself, or giving a single update on the subject since they left.

I don't want to be pessimistic, but I would like to bring up a (however UNLIKELY) point. Perhaps they're done with the whole "Homestar" concept. I mean, think about it. An artist doesn't want to spend their whole career on one thing, no matter how much I wish they would.
