Yo, I'm new here but I've been a long time fan of the site. So much in fact, that I've started to fandub different toons from the site. So far, I've only completed one of them. It's a fandub of the sbemail "dangeresque 3". Check it out at this link. I'm in the process of fandubbing the sbemail "isp" as well. It's almost complete, I'm just waiting for the lines from the guy I have playing Bubs. So, does anyone else do stuff like this?

That was pretty entertaining - I thought the guy who did Coach Z sounded more like Strong Sad, and KOT was pretty badly off. Marzipan was spot on. Strong Bad was pretty close, but he needed a bit more of a gravelly sound in his voice. Overall I'd watch it again :)

Pretty good. I could probably do a better Coach Z or KoT than the guys on this video but I liked it.

Well I wasn't exactly going for spot on accuracy. I was actually considering doing the all the male roles myself and then just recruiting someone for Marzipan, but that wouldn't really be fair. I do a pretty mean Coach Z if I do say so myself.

What's the point of a fandub? I'd rather watch the original.

It's just kind of a fun thing to do. An homage to the original.

Like covering a song.

Exactly, plus it's good practice for me and the other VA's in it.

Very good fandubs. I really thought that Bubs didn't sound too accurate, but still quite nice. I wish I knew how to do that voice thingy. I do a good Homsar.

I'm actually starting to like that Homestar voice a bit more than the real one - it makes him sound closer to his actual age rather than, like, just out of high school.

And, hey - I wouldn't mind doing voices if you need a The Announcer, Old-Timey Homestar, or Powered By The Cheat Strong Bad. I'm good at the first one, but I should probably just be a backup for the other two, in case you really can't find anyone else...

Sure. Just create a profile on the VAC (http://www.voiceactingclub.com) and/or the VAA (http://www.voiceactingalliance.com/board) then make sure to audition when I put up another audition thread for a H*R fandub, though I'm not sure when I'll do another one due to college and all.

By coincidence, I just made a VAC account! I'll look out for your posts.

One more thing, it might interest you guys to know that (in this latest fandub) the same guy played Homestar and Bubs. He also played Homestar and the KOT in my other fandub (sbemail "dangeresque 3").

Your dubs were great! I have a friend who did some dubs of the toons, but he didn't used the footage, just still pictures of the toons.

Here's one he did on "Sick Day".

Yeeaah, I uh...I didn't think it was very good...
You kinda got Strong Bad okay, and Strong Sad sounded decent, but a bit girly.
Coach Z and KOT on the other hand........no.
