1936-present-20X6 family tree?

Do you guys ever think that 1936 characters are relatives of ones we know & love today? And could 20X6 characters be children of the present characters? It could be possible, but first let's go through the loop holes.

. Stinkoman & Old-Timey Homestar meeting each other in 20X6 VS. 1936.

. The easter egg in "email High School" when Old-Timey characters were Romans. But Strong Bad said the present characters were Romans, before being parameciums.

. The Sad Kids being in an Old-Timey cartoon, Mr. Shmallow.

I think Old-Timey Homestar & Marzipan end up breaking up, and respectively being the ancestors of their modern-day counterparts (so they're not related). The same thing happens from the present to 20X6, and each generation after. Sort of like Final Fantasy VIII (Laguna + Julia -> Squall + Rinoa).

I think most of those questions can be explained away with time travel.

I think it makes more sense to see 1936 and 20X6 as alternate universes (as was suggested in sbemail 150). Why would the characters' relatives look so similar to them, and even having the same names in some cases? And why would three relatives of the Brothers Strong (The Strong Bad, Strong Man and Sickly Sam) each resemble one of the current brothers? It makes no sense!
