Have you ever been completely blown away by somebody else having knowledge of homestarrunner.com in a really random situation?
I aced a test once and I had been drawing :sb: on the back while I was bored and when my teacher graded it, she wrote: "Keep on rocking it 1987-style!" I'm like, "What the crap?!"
Another time, I was at TGI Friday's and I was drawing :hr: on the menu and the waiter knew about it. Have you ever had a "What the pfargtl?" moment like that?

Not just someone who recognized Strong Bad, but was able to pull out an obscure, yet perfect, reference? I wish I had teachers like that when I was in school.

That one's about referencing Homestar and being the only person who knows what you're talking about. This one's the opposite.

And I've never seen anyone who knows about Homestar Runner in an unexpected situation. The teacher's aide who helped me through year twelve got me a Kick The Cheat doll as a graduation gift, but that's because I introduced her to Homestar Runner.

Ohohohoho~
:>

I was walking down the street in NYC a few years back, and all of a sudden my ears picked up the words, "Yellow-Dellow". I spun around and ran after the guy who was talking about Search for the Yellow Dellow with his girl friend and gave him a high-five.

It's not often that you find a fan in the middle of the street. And the craziest thing is that the dude I met might actually be related to my friend in college. Small world, eh?

A few years later I saw a guy in a store with the "Strong Mad has a Posse" sticker. He's not into the cartoons anymore though.

I've also met a girl who knew about Homestar Runner at a birthday party. I wanted to talk to her about it, but she was embarrassed about liking the toons. :(

Whenever I wear one of my Homestar shirts, I usually have one or a couple people say "awesome shirt!" throughout the day (It's a college campus; there are bound to be quite a few fans). I saw a prof with a giant Crack Stuntman poster of some sort in his office, and I see the sweatshirts and tote bags around a lot.

Lucky! I haven't seen a single person with any Homestar merch. :<

I used to wear my ducky shirt in school and all my friends would say it was cute. Of course, they didn't know what it was based off of and just liked the duck design. There was one other kid who had a Homestar Runner shirt, but I never got to talk to him.

Once I found out that my classmate in my creative writing class knew :hr: and we've been firm friends ever since!

There was this one time where two of my 'Acquaintances' (although they would never admit to being my friends) randomly screamed out "Trogdor!" in the middle of Biology. They sometimes sing it... but alas, they do not watch a lot of Homestar.

You know, its surprising. Around here, EVERYONE used to watch the H*R. I'd say the time period between dragon and sibbie. (It's appropriate to reference time frames based on SBemails, right?)
So all the time, someone will be like "TROGDoooooR!" or will compliment me on my "The Cheat" book bag, but then I'm all like, "You watch Homestar Runner? Did you see last wee-"
"Naw, I haven't gone on there for years."
No one knows WHY they haven't seen any newer ones.
Everyone agrees that the ones they saw were awesome.

WTPF? It's not like they aren't funny anymore, and it's not like they don't make new ones. Why must everyone inevitably lose interest? (Present Company Excluded.)

Well, not really, but in an assembly in our school for SHELTER THEM, one of the representatives said "four years old boy".

That sucks. I wonder why they don't go anymore.
I remember there were a few people like that in my High school.
Maybe they're just too busy and forgot about checking the website? Though it seems silly that one would not have enough time to watch a couple of three-to-four minute cartoons every week.
