Just be patient. People will make whatever nominations they want, and then he'll come rule on them. It's no use complaining about it either way because it's all up to him.

Best Admin doesn't qualify anymore because no admin has been posting and showing us his Divine presence since the Winter awards. To us, they don't exist here anymore, and its been written that if they come back or a new one shall rise, Judgment will be passed upon us all.

Well, Cola, I didn't exactly make an "official ruling" about it. As it stands, if people want a Best Admin category - and enough people second it - then they can have one. But then again, if someone else proposes that we remove it again - or that we limit it to HRWF Admins - and enough people second either proposal, then we're right back where we started from.

I've already made the motion that, if allowed, it be limited to HRWF Admins. Do we have any seconds?

You know, I was at a conference during the original Serious Business thing. The only thing I remember about it is that, when I got home, one of the HRWFWF members had sent me a PM asking me to delete some spam you guys had made.

My point is this: whether you like it or not, there are some people who are getting annoyed with this whole business. I realize that at least some of it is intended to be a joke, but some people aren't laughing. That being the case, I really don't see the use in pushing it any further. So please forgive me for actually trying to moderate here.

You see, that's one thing I feel like you guys don't get: you can push something too far, and when you do, often something that might otherwise be funny becomes instead a total pain. And it's not just us non-HRWFWF people who feel this way at times: some of the HRWFWF know exactly what I'm talking about and agree as well.

A good example would be the original Serious Business thing: my primary experience of it was coming home from a conference and having to delete spam: not exactly the best first impression of something that, at any other time, I might have found amusing.

So, at this point, I'm asking - not telling - that we please just drop the whole Best Admin business?

This thing should be kept around, these are the first awards for some people. Just, if you hate it, go away, if you want to make some fun out of it, do it somewhere else.

This is the first time for some people, don't spoil it for them just because you are tired of it.
